05.01.2022 I hate this time of year as we are coming to the end of our T20 competition. Even though you all do my head in every night, I can’t wait for the weekend to end and a new week starts. We still have a few games left, tonight sees Master Batters take on Willow Warriors. Either of these teams win tonight takes them into 1st place knocking BushChooks into 2nd. Good Luck Guys. This Friday 19th is our wooden spoon face off.... Sons Of Pitches v Dad’s Army. Will SOPs retain their ti...tle for a 2nd year or will the youngsters of the comp DA walk away with their first trophy. Either way it’s still a game not to be missed. Both teams will be fighting hard. Madness also take on Finbats and still a lot to play for. 3 v 4 on Tuesday 23rd February in our first semi final, 1 v 2 on Thursday 25th February. The losers of the 2nd semi final face the winner of the 1st on Tuesday 2nd March in our Pre Lim final. Grand Final will be Friday 5th March followed by awards night. Hope to see you all there supporting the other teams and the Hawks Club. Winners/ losers it’s been a great experience for the kids and every week they learn something new. They’ve only had a few wins this season but it’s given them the confidence to want to return next year and do even better. One of the boys is fighting for Top 15, he got there but unfortunately was knocked off by last night’s game. Good luck on Friday Malakai Wholagan... you got this. I’d just like to thank all the other teams for welcoming such a young group of boys into your comp and I know the boys appreciate it aswell. You give the boys something to look forward to and be excited about. Thank you all.

03.01.2022 Last night’s semi final Willow Warriors v Bush Chooks... and what a game it was. With Chooks being on fine form and having a few retirees in the shed they made a defendable but also not one of their highest scores 142. Personally I think this was one off their best games and I’m sure some of them might argue the point but their bowling was perfect and unfortunately for Willow Warriors they just couldn’t get away from the wickets falling faster than ducks in a shooting range, ... Willow Warriors on the other hand, well I’m not sure if it was the same team that’s played all year or it was just Chooks bowling but they just couldn’t get the runs they needed and ended their innings on 119. Good Luck to the Chooks who go straight through to the Grand Finals on Friday 5th November. Tuesday 2nd sees Madness v Willow Warriors in a fight for the Grand Final spot. Not a game I’d make a bet on, so come on down and cheer the lads on. Good luck to you both !!!!

01.01.2022 Our 1st Semi Final seen Master Batters v Madness. This was the first year Masters have gotten to the finals and last nights game proved they deserved to be there. MB had won their 2 league games over Madness, could they make it 3/3. A fantastic game to watch with some phenomenal fielding from both teams, MB set a decent score of 148 which was defendable but they knew they had a lot to do. Madness lost wickets quickly and knew they needed to put more pressure on to get to the... Pre Lims. As the last of Madness batters came they knew they needed to defend their wicket but also make runs, they had a few players who had retired but with overs flying by there wasn’t time for quick singles. It wasn’t until the 19th over that Madness took the winning runs. Master Batters 148 Madness 150. Congratulations to Madness see you next Tuesday in the Pre Lims. Both team members should be proud of how they played last night. Thursday night sees Willow Warriors v Bush Chooks, should be another exciting game. The winners go straight to the finals while the losers have a second chance against Madness to get to the Grand Final. GOOD LUCK
