18.01.2022 We celebrated our Clontarf boys at the Shalvey Academy Annual Awards Night tonight. The event was a lot different than previous years but it was great to recognise the boys’ achievements throughout 2020. Thank you to Ronny, Marti and David for their support with the boys.

18.01.2022 Our incoming Year 7 students joined us for Orientation Day today. Thank you to students and their parents/carers for adapting so well to the changes to the day. We hope you enjoyed your time at CCSC and we look forward to welcoming you officially in 2021.

16.01.2022 Today our Aboriginal students began contributing to our new garden artwork that symbolises this years NAIDOC Week theme Always Was, Always Will Be. Students used hardwearing exterior paint to design their rocks to create a lasting impression on our school grounds. #NAIDOC2020

14.01.2022 A reminder to all of our Year 10 students that you are to meet at Senior Campus at 8:30am tomorrow for Year 11 Orientation. You will be dismissed from there at 12:40pm. Please wear your Shalvey Campus uniform. Please note: There will be no classes for Year 10 students at Shalvey tomorrow.

09.01.2022 Today looked a little different to previous years... Students participated in a Remembrance Day lesson and watched a live stream of NSW’s Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in Sydney’s Martin Place. At 11am students and staff observed one minute of silence in memory of those who served. Following this, students joined in celebrating NAIDOC Week with a lesson that focused on the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. ... Our lunchtime NAIDOC ‘Feastival’ kicked off with an Acknowledgement of Country and a performance of traditional Aborginal dances. All students were then invited to sample crocodile, emu, kangaroo and a traditional BBQ, as well as beautiful damper, native jams and cocky joy cream. Thank you to our students for the pride, respect and patience they showed today.

08.01.2022 We are looking forward to welcoming our Year 7, 2021 students at Orientation Day tomorrow. Due to requirements related to COVID-19, there are significant changes to our traditional Orientation Day structure. All details regarding the day can be found in the discussion area of this event.

07.01.2022 Well done to our U15 boys who played in the Mt Druitt Cup Rugby League gala day today. Special mention to Brock, Tyrell, Dion, Cedric, Ezalle, Jeremiah, Brooklyn & Gauta who were selected for the Mt Druitt Zone team who will represent our zone at the Sydney West trials.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to our School Captain, Paige Scanlan, for winning the Year 10 Dame Marie Bashir Peace Award from the National Council of Women of NSW. This prestigious award recognises the achievements of female senior students contributing to peace and harmony within their community. 04.01.2022 Our Year 10 students attended a virtual event with Melissa from You Choose - Youth Road Safety on Friday. The event was incredibly moving and it was great to see our students really embrace the messages. Thank you for taking the time to tell your story, Melissa.

02.01.2022 On Tuesday night, our school captains attended the College Council Meeting. Student leaders presented in front of the 5 campus principals, other student leaders, teachers and community members. Their presentation was about wellbeing, attendance and belonging at Shalvey Campus. Congratulations to Philomina and Destiny!
