18.01.2022 Family Day Care educators in Victoria- whilst we understand the position your families are in at present and the fact you want to help them every way you can, please DO NOT waive any gap fee (parents out of pocket fee) without first speaking with your service/scheme. Every FDC service must first seek approval to waive fees from the DESE child integrity team, prior to anyone waiving any fee. If you waive fees without the approval, a compliance notice may be issued. Please en...sure you communicate with your service regarding this ASAP. 08.01.2022 Today as educators wake, many will be excited to finally be back to running their businesses and be getting paid correctly and not be wondering week-week what they will receive as income, as CCS and parent gap fee returns to Australian child care services. Yes, the FEEE child care package is finally over. Then we have fellow educators and services in VIC, who will wake up concerned if they will have have continuing care or care leaving, they will worry about the safety of their own family and communities with COVID-19. Our thoughts are with these educators and services right now, we pray this nightmare is over soon. Love and light.

Again, the emergency package is targeted at the set up of a child care centre, not the uniqueness of FDC.
