21.01.2022 Real photos, with a great story to share. Maxine Pitt is a North Queensland resident inspired by her garden to write Peter Piper and Pollyanna the Pied Currawong.

20.01.2022 Thanks to Troy at Troy Williams Good Guys, all clients of Child Health and Development Centre are being offered iPads at Cost Price! If you think this would be of benefit for your child, please call us on 4723 0777

17.01.2022 We have just received a notice that due to roadworks our Mill Drive carpark may be unavailable some time between the 3rd and 14th of October for 3 days. (Nice of them to be specific :) ) Our main Fulham Road entrance and car park will still be open for the duration of the road works. And if you usually drive down Mill Drive from Bamford Lane to get to us - don't! The road may be shut and there will be delays.

12.01.2022 Hope everyone enjoys the school holidays! If you are stuck for things to do, check out the Community Information Centre - they have compiled a schedule of some of the school holiday activities. Have booked my girls in for La Luna - they have some fabulous workshops on this week! For children from 5-15yo.

11.01.2022 So....does this mean that winter is here? My goodness! Nicola and Carmel are up in Ingham today - hope the weather is a little bit more pleasant up there! If not we suppose they at least have the luxury of stopping in to the Casa Cafe and having some lovely pasta....or the Deli to get other most delicious things....no, we are not jealous at ALL. :)

10.01.2022 Apex is hosting a 'National Children's Day' Event at the Train Park on Sunday 9th September from 10-3pm. They have heaps of rides, rock climbing wall etc for just $6 inclusive for the day! Sounds great!

10.01.2022 Looking for support and understanding. Talk to others and share the load. You are not alone.

06.01.2022 Susan Morrison has come back from an AAC conference with a great new communication device for our non-verbal kids to try out. It gives them a peopwe VOICE! :) Not just cards! Very exciting! Give us a call if you would like more info.

05.01.2022 Did you know that tomorrow is National Domestic Violence Remembrance Day? Light a candle for those (including children!) who have and/or are living with domestic violence.

05.01.2022 Due to V8 racing in Townsville and the increased prices of accomodation and venue hire The Hanen Course, It Takes Two to Talk, has been postponed. Watch this space for the new date.

02.01.2022 Well - we have run out of tickets for the The Umbrella Network Father's Day raffle. And what a good one it was! Even if you don't have tools...how much craft stuff could you fit in those draws?

02.01.2022 "She told all her children that they could do anything.....it made them very light and helped them to fly" Stolen from the Psylution Worx office! :)

01.01.2022 For years I have kept saying 'one day when I grow up I will know what I want to do'. I am lucky. I may not have 'grown up' but I know that this is what I want to do. Working with all these fabulous children who have so much (often recognised) potential is everything I have been looking for and more! Thank you everyone!
