22.01.2022 It's hard to stay calm. But remember that children learn through imitation - what they see is how they act. So if you can breathe and stay calm, they will learn from that.

18.01.2022 We received this lovely message from a mother who's child received ESDM therapy at the CDI for 9 months. He made so much progress during this time that intensive therapy was no longer appropriate for him and our team referred him onto OT sessions. While it's sad to see children leave our service, it's wonderful to know that they do so because of the progress that has been achieved. "I would like to express our thanks for your help with James treatment for the last nine mon...ths. Straight from his very first appointment it was clear that CDI was the right fit for James. He quickly warmed to all the staff and always loved his visits. James progress since starting at CDI has been amazing. When he started, he rarely talked at pre-school and would not interact with other children. Now, he has gained confidence, and happily plays with his peers. His play and social skills have really improved and continue to do so. I know that a large part of this is due to his time at CDI. We will be forever grateful for the incredible boost that CDI provided." #autism #earlyintervention #ESDM #ChildDevelopmentInstituteSydney

15.01.2022 Sick of Playdough and looking for something new to entice the kids? This gloop is amazing! Check out the video to see how it changes from solid to liquid depending on how it is handled. How to Make it: ... You basically just mix two parts cornflour to one part water. Add the two cups of cornflour first and then slowly add the water. You can add food colouring to the water if you want to colour it. As you play around with the mixture you can add more cornflour/water to alter the consistency if you want.
