25.01.2022 Childers Neighbourhood Centre has been successful in their application for Queensland Government's third round of Thriving Queensland Communities Grant for Neighbourhood and Community Centres. We are very excited and very busy planning great activities, events, workshops and more to help Celebrate our Community. So keep your eyes peeled for upcoming notifications of what is happening in and around our area. 24.01.2022 Get your skates and boards ready, tomorrow Red Frogs and the Neighbourhood Centre will be down at Childers Skate Bowl from 1 pm for some fun and a Free BBQ.

23.01.2022 BINGO!!!! Wouldn't you just love to shout out that? Friday Bingo is held at the Isis Club. Doors open 8.30 am with eyes down at 9 am. Jackpot games yeah! and Free morning tea.



19.01.2022 Wide Bay Mental Health Service has developed a directory of services available in the area. These include Alcohol and Drug treatment services, relative, carer and friend support, child and youth services, telephone and online counselling services. A very handy resource to keep at home.

Simply pick up a Reading Challenge booklet from the library at the Childers Library. Collect stickers and tickets for a prize draw and see how many challenges you can complete before Friday 16 October.

10.01.2022 Refocus and Reconnect is our aim for resilience through and after COVID. A great way to do this and slow down is to be part of the Basketry workshop being held on 22 October. Numbers are limited, so make sure you RSVP with payment to the Neighbourhood Centre.

10.01.2022 LOST KITTEN! Passing through and stopped in Childers last night, she went wandering last night and hasn't returned. She is usually very good and has returned to the van by morning. Her name is Tommy. She is about one years old, tortoise shell - black, brown and white colouring with white socks. No collar. She is very friendly. If you have seen her please contact the Neighbourhood Centre so we can get in touch with her owner.

02.01.2022 What a fun and exciting week for Childers and Woodgate. The Red Frogs Crew came up to join in on the fun and action at the Skate Parks. It was fantastic to see how well received these days were and to see first hand the talent some of our regions youth have! Even the staff at the Neighbourhood Centre got in on some of the action.
