25.01.2022 Spring must be just around the corner because in year two things are growing and changing! In our class our tadpoles have grown back legs and front legs are their tails are starting to disappear. We have larva, pupa and beetles (did you know that mealworms are the larvae stage of the darkling beetle?) We also we have some very stylish zebra silkworms (and one ordinary white one we’ve called Snowflake). They are eating machines and grow bigger every day! We love learning about how things change and grow.

24.01.2022 If you are starting to think "back to school" you will be thinking books and uniforms. Booklists can be found on the school website: https://childersss.eq.edu.au//forms-and-documents/documents Uniforms are available from Inn style Mensland in Bundaberg. There will also be a uniform shop at school next Wednesday from 9am - 12noon. EFTPOS available.

22.01.2022 This term in Prep our Science unit has been Our Living World. As a culminating activity, we created our dioramas yesterday, ensuring our farm animals had everything they need to survive.

18.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that we are now able to offer Pre-Prep sessions in Term 4! If you have put your name down with us for Prep, or if you are still exploring your options, please come along and see what Prep at Childers State School can offer your child. 06.01.2022 Today we welcomed some children from Bright Horizons to experience Prep. They had a wonderful time exploring our Prep rooms and completing activities. Subject to restrictions we hope to have more days next term.
