22.01.2022 CHILDREN'S WEEK with DPV and Healthy Eating Ideas Healthy children are able to learn better at school and have the energy to explore outside the classroom too. To help the families across Hume and Whittlesea, DPV Health developed a series of short educational videos to give families practical, evidence-based tips on a range of health topics. The videos are available in English, Arabic, and Punjabi. You can view them here https://www.dpvhealth.org.au//transition-video-projec...t-he/ Great inspiration for Children's Week picnics.
20.01.2022 Celebrate the end of Children’s Week by holding a picnic this weekend with your family and friends as we focus on friendship and connecting safely with others in our community. Show off your art creations, dancing skills and healthy snacks with your family and friends. We’d LOVE to see how you celebrated Children’s Week. We invite you to post your picnic photos in the comments section under this video.... Thank you for participating in our 2020 Children’s Week celebrations. We hope you’ve had fun!

16.01.2022 Another fantastic recipe from the Children in Hume Cookbook. Cooked by Chef Emalyn from the Bookmark Cafe at the Broadmeadows Global Learning Centre. Yum yum Butter Chicken.
14.01.2022 While remote learning thankfully seems like a foggy memory, we're still applauding all the families who made it through As Preschool at Home wraps up this week, our Preschool educators have given it a farewell. It was great to see the Experience Cards accessed more than 110,000 times between April and November, showing the great work of thousands of Hume families and our Preschool staff. Well done to everyone!
13.01.2022 There's so many young families in Hume who make their way to Hume Carols by Candlelight every single year. To keep traditions alive and everyone safe, Hume Events will be streaming Hume Carols Live on Saturday night from 6.30pm instead - with all the carols you know and love! Make a night of it and tune in from 6.30pm with friends and family. ... There will be plenty of prizes and giveaways on the night too, including a $2,000 Made-in-Hume hamper of goodies with an accommodation package (perfect for the adults) and a visit from Santa (perfect for the kids!) Tune in via Hume Events or the Hume City Council YouTube channel from 6.30pm. https://fb.me/e/5P52lFIzq
06.01.2022 This Cottage Pie is packed with vegies and great for a quick dinner. You will find this recipe and more in the Children in Hume Cookbook. A special thanks to the children and families who have shared their recipes for this book.
03.01.2022 Christmas in Hume will look a bit different this year, but there's still plenty happening across the city - including a new community Christmas light competition and live-streamed Hume Carols by Candlelight on Saturday 5 December
