25.01.2022 Term 3 2020 is in full force! Heres a look at some of the projects our specialist drawing and painting artists have been mastering: Our junior and advanced Drawing + Painting students have been learning about ancient Japanese art, beautifully focusing on inking nature and landscape studies. And the Advanced Visual Arts students were inspired by traditional Japanese gardens. These intricate pencil sketches are so incredible!

18.01.2022 Our younger artists have been busy studying the animal kingdom. While looking at specific qualities of these creatures, the kid artists are building their fine art skills as well as exploring fun craft creations. Explore Art + Craft students are got into patterns with their zentangle patterned turtles. They also tried their hand at sewing and stuffing these cuddly teddy bears. Prep Drawing + Painting students have spent a couple of weeks studying local Perth artist Brenton See. Here they have created artist interrelationships in their own bird artworks, looking at See's style.

10.01.2022 And that's a wrap for 2020! We don't need to tell you what a crazy year it's been, but we've come out on top. We are so grateful to be living in WA, for our wonderful spot at Goolugatup Heathcote and for the support from our Perth people. Our studio is now on our break for the festive season. 03.01.2022 Many of our specialist drawing classes looked at how to plan Mini Mural designs. Our Drawing + Painting classes learned to create large scaled drawings, coming up with their own theme, and even helped each other finish their works as it became a race to beat the clock in the last class of term! Our Traditional Drawing class used famous muralist Shamsia Hassani's method of drawing into images of buildings to try out ideas and express herself.... Planning, forward, conceptual thinking is important in art and design.
