22.01.2022 The children at Childrens Choice have been doing so amazing when it comes to swimming !! We have been doing Swimming Lessons for the past year now! Swim lessons are important because they help teach your child proper swimming techniques, but also because it encourages them to be independent in the water. Swim lessons help children swim longer distances, learn different strokes, and be safe in and around the water.

21.01.2022 Kindergarten; This activity was very fun and exciting, as the children were able to use these stickers to follow the line. Benefits from this; Fine motor skills are those that involve a refined use of the small muscles which control the hand, fingers and thumb. With the development of these skills, a child is able to complete important tasks such as writing, feeding oneself, buttoning and zippering. ... Little hands need to develop dexterity and strength.

We have enjoyed many activities, story books, online stories, fairytales, crafts and creating our own book jackets. They are the skills children use in everyday tasks such as feeding themselves, brushing their teeth, dressing themselves and more. Its important for the children to be able to complete these tasks, providing them with the resources and abilities will help further their learning!

Through the program children are able to explore new languages and culture, we were able to extend our interest in cooking by using the apps to make birthday cakes which also combines imported literacy and numeracy skill development.

05.01.2022 Kindergarten; Pre-writing is learning the skills necessary to begin writing. Pre-writing is an important step because it teaches children the correct way to hold a pencil, how to use a good, firm grip, and emphasizes the use of fine motor skills. Tracing is a great way for the children to engage in learning but also have fun while doing it! In order for your child to maintain the correct grip for holding a pencil, their fine motor skills will need to be improved and encour...aged. Fine Motor refers to the development of small muscles of the body (particularly the small muscles in hands) which will enable actions like grasping small objects, clicking, correct writing grasp etc. By developing your childs fine motor skills, it will enable their finger and muscles to become stronger and provide them with the ability to control the way they hold a pencil. (The kindy children are offered fine motor skills all throughout the day) See more

04.01.2022 The children have been enjoying the warmer weather this week with some water play. Adding food dye to the water enhances the children’s experience by prompting discussion about the colours in use. This activity also has the added bonus of colour mixing and early scientific exploration as the children mixed, stirred and poured the water. It was lots of fun and brought the children together in positive interactions
