17.01.2022 Hand washing: advice for people with eczema. The most important part of hand hygiene is the physical act of washing your hands under water to remove the dead epithelial cells, fats and other organic matter that microorganisms may stick to. After advice today from local senior clinical microbiologist, soap free washes still work if you wash your hands properly. Our priority is to stop dry cracked skin. To help you choose suitable soap free washes and moisturisers for your hands or for your child's eczema, you are welcome to call me at the Herdsman Specialist Centre on 93872844. Bulk billed telehealth appointments are also available.

16.01.2022 After attending a really informative education meeting this evening with Immunologists and Dermatologists in relation to new eczema treatments, the importance of treating eczema well in children was highlighted. Treating childhood eczema properly will help prevent the complications of poorly controlled disease in adolescents and adults. If you have any questions about your child's eczema and would like to discuss this further please phone me on 0402685291 or phone Baby Steps Health Centre in Wembley on 93872844 to make an appointment.

09.01.2022 Did you know? All babies in the first year of life should be given allergenic foods including peanut butter and other nut pastes, cooked egg, dairy, seafood and wheat products. This includes infants with eczema who are at high risk of allergy. Research shows that when children eat these foods early in life and on a regular basis, they are much less likely to develop a food allergy. To learn more, book a place at our next eczema workshop for parents on Saturday 9th June 2018 a...t Baby Steps Health Centre in Wembley. Ph: 9387 2844. $50 per family. Photo credit - Pixabay
