15.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone! In March the early literacy collective Paint the Town REaD will be holding its 5th National Conference in Woolongong. Making Waves Early Literacy and Collective Impact will be held between the 25th and 27th of March and will "encourage all levels of the community to support the development of children’s early literacy skills from birth."

It has been a while since our last event, but I am pleased to announce Early Childhood Australia ACT Branch together with Adam and Carmel from Wiradjuri Preschool in the ACT are hosting a special event on Thursday 14 July. This is a unique, intimate opportunity to network with professional educators and gain some knowledge and inspiration on why educators need to acknowledge and form partnerships with the traditional owners of the land and how we embed acknowledgement in our daily work with children. An invite will be sent soon...

12.01.2022 Today is Universal Children's Day, and to mark the occasion UNICEF has released a report called "Things That Matter". This report is made up of children's ideas of what they would do if they ran the world. What are the most important things that matter to children? This might be a good provocation for the children in your services!
