20.01.2022 This is what on-country learning looks like: safe environments where children can expand their minds and connect with the land. In First Nations societies, the land supports and informs learning. The land is the foundation of our Learning and Wellbeing platform at Children’s Ground. As Leonie Palmer, Ampe-kenhe Ahelhe (Children’s Ground Central Australia) Director reminds us: "Country is a powerful place for kids to learn; to relax their body, mind and soul. It’s a place to rest. Learning on country is the number one priority for our kids.

15.01.2022 At Children's Ground, we recognise cultural learning and Western learning as equally important elements to a Child's wellbeing. We are creating environments where families can teach their children practical skills; like fishing in integrated learning sessions alongside language, numeracy and fine motor skills. This week, families led on-country learning sessions on the Nightcliff foreshore, followed by a delicious barbecue!
