25.01.2022 Welcome back to Autumn Term-2 !

21.01.2022 SOME OF THE ART ACTIVITIES THIS TERM. When it comes to art, it is the process not the product that is important to the child. As adults, our goal is to produce a product. The child interacts with the world differently. The child works to develop self. The focus is on the process not the product. Once a child creates something, s/he does not feel the need to keep the product. It is the process that gives her/him satisfaction and inner joy.

16.01.2022 WELCOME BACK TO TERM 3 In the Decimal System, the children first explore the golden bead materials sensorially. They learn from concrete to abstract, combining the golden beads with the abstract color coded numerals, building their association of quantity and symbol.

12.01.2022 In our classroom we begin physical geography by introducing three- and four-year-olds Globe of Land and Water (Sandpaper Globe). The sandpaper land is rough to the touch; the oceans are smooth. "This is how we see Earth from the sky. This is land. This is water." We also introduce children to Land and Water Forms, a Practical Life exercise in geography. As the child pours water into the forms, s/he has the sensorial impression of, for example, an island and a lake. Naming the land forms using three-part cards and learning the definitions of land forms follow. The materials in classroom for political geography include the Globe of the Continents (Painted Globe) and the Puzzle Map of the World (typically introduced as a sensorial work), along with the Continent Maps, outline maps, and the flags.
