20.01.2022 Entry points for parents, guardians and carers accessing the RCH via 48 Flemington Road have changed. From today, the visitor screening point at 48 Flemington ...Road (which was previously near Boost Juice), will be located near The Larwill Hotel entrance. This means that the hospital entry at Royal Park, and the blue lifts will be closed. Those accessing the hospital via 48 Flemington Road will need to enter via the grey hotel lifts if parking underground, or enter through the hotel entrance if walking. The screening point at Main Street reception remains in place. In addition, further requirements have been put in place at our screening checkpoints in line with DHHS recommendations. Any parent or guardian who has passed screening and is approved for access will be asked to sign in to the RCH, by providing your name, contact number, and which area of the hospital you are attending. The screening team will then issue you with a personalised and dated sticker which must be worn at all times while onsite at the RCH. Parents or guardians will also need to sign out before leaving. This measure has been implemented in addition to our current requirements, which include wearing face mask and following our infection control procedures. Wed also like to remind our community that only one parent, legal guardian or caregiver may attend the RCH at any time, unless you have been provided with an exemption. Visitors, including siblings, extended family and grandparents are not permitted, and will be asked to leave the site if they come with you. For more information about our visitor guidelines, which are now available in a number of community languages, please visit www.rch.org.au/rch/Coronavirus_(COVID-19)

18.01.2022 Hello and welcome to all our new followers and Alumni! Please meet Vashti. Vashti is one of our professional course trainers she has worked as an Advanced Life Support Paramedic for 14 years alongside her MICA Paramedic husband. She has twin boys. thanks Bree for the recommendation x Vashti was incredibly knowledgeable and put things into terms and context that we could understand and relate to. Very practical, real life content. We moved through a lot of content but deli...vered in a way that it felt like a breeze. Loved everything about Vashtis style and delivery of the course. Her experience as a mum and a paramedic was obvious and really complimented the training. Also, she is a wonderful facilitator, engaging, funny and knows her stuff!! 12.01.2022 With the reintroduction of Stage 3 restrictions across Melbourne announced earlier this week, the State Government has directed that all approved visitors at a ...health service must wear face coverings on entry. Starting today, all visitors attending the RCH will be required to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit. Face masks will be provided at our visitor screening checkpoints, after visitors have passed their screening questions and temperature check. Visitors can only remove their masks once they exit the hospital, and must dispose of them at home, or in one of the designated clinical waste bins. In addition to wearing a face mask, we also ask that our community continues to follow our infection control procedures, including practising excellent hand hygiene, covering your cough and sneeze, and adhering to physical distancing requirements. Wed also like to remind our community that only parents or legal guardians are permitted to attend the hospital. Siblings and extended family members are not permitted to visit the RCH or attend hospital appointments. For more information and to read our visitor guidelines, which are now available in a number of community languages, please visit www.rch.org.au/rch/Coronavirus_(COVID-19)
