15.01.2022 I have had a lot of questions regarding care for new chicks. Below are some guidelines on how to make sure babies have all they require. Heat All chicks need heat for 4-6 weeks. Heat lamps can be purchased online or buckhams produce sell them for around $55 including the hood. I use 100w lamps as my brooder box is inside. I would not recommend brooder boxes outside this time of year if possible. The Temperature in the brooder should be around 35 degrees for day old chicks. I...Continue reading
