24.01.2022 Travelled out to Coonamble NSW to fit out 3 79 series cruisers with Child Restraint Points, Left last Friday and travelled to Goondiwindi and stayed overnight at the Border Motel on Friday night, great meal and beer at the Queensland Hotel next door. Over the border and down to Coonamble the next morning, great scenery if you like wide open spaces and flocks of Cockatoo's, no Roo's at all due to a little rain and green pick for them away from the roads. Fitted the points to ...the 3 cruisers and headed back to Goondiwindi , all was going well until the GPS decided to play games and sent us into the back roads, tar turned to gravel and I thought " thats ok, must be a short cut" WRONG!!! gravel turned into dirt and wet greasy clay at that, CRAP WAS MY FIRST WORD TO MY WIFE. 3rd gear flat to the floor for 20 k's until we hit tar again out on the highway. Don't trust a GPS, I think they like having fun with you at times. Got back to the border and the Cops checked our passes and sent us on, Well in total confusion I went around the roundabout from the checkpoint and drove straight back into NSW. Wifie yells at me "where are you going". Oh crap, back into the line and back over the border, same cop, laughs and waved us on, Stayed again at the Border Motel and left for Toowoomba early Sunday morning . Fitted a child anchor point into an NPR Isuzu truck on the way back home. Rained nearly all the way but overall a great few days driving and sightseeing. See more

23.01.2022 The ongoing COVID 19 situation is a pain in the butt with the border closures being a big talking point . I have customers in NSW waiting for the borders to open so that I can travel into NSW to fit child seat anchor points to their vehicles. I wish to assure people that our business operates in a COVID Safe manner and any face to face contact is done with social distancing in mind, we carry sanitizers, wipes, masks with us at all times and use them accordingly. So stay safe and well.

23.01.2022 Fitted 2x child seat anchor points to a 2015 Toyota Kluger today in Albany Creek, restraint points where fitted to rear floor cross member and trim cut out and modified to suit and to get a direct pull to the Child Restraint Seat strap. The cut outs are necessary and all care is taken to be as neat as possible, if you try to route straps around the trims you are asking for trouble as the strap is never straight and taught.

17.01.2022 "Talk about putting the miles in" , down to Thornlands at 7am and fitted 2 x child seat anchor points into a brand new 79 series, thankfully he had the cruiser under cover as it was raining pretty well, the young guy was very interested in how I fitted them as he was going to try and do it but couldn't work out how to get the backing plate in. Back to Bellbird park and fitted 2 anchor points to an early D22 navara, this customer had been quoted $800 somewhere else so he found... my site and I fitted 2 for him for under half that price with QLD compliance. Back in the ute and drove up to Griffin on the Nth Side and fitted 3 x child seat anchor points into another Navara D22, This customers mother had 2 points fitted up in Cairns to another car and paid $1600, it is unbelievable some of the money that some are charging. My cost for fitting 3 points was $450 which again included QLD Compliance plate. On then up to Caboolture and fitted 2 x points to a new NQR Isuzu dual cab truck, this customer had been quoted $1000 from another business, needless to say my cost was less than half. Belli Park up inland of Noosa was as far north we travelled to today and fitted a 3rd child seat anchor point to a Toyota Estima in the 3rd row of seats, got thaqt job done and thought it was straight home, "No Not To Be" got a call to fit 2 x child seat anchor points to another brand new 79 series Cruiser at Mt Gravatt, my wife and I thought why not, its on the way home. 16.01.2022 There are 79 series Cruiser Utes everywhere, I have been fitting child seat anchor points to a lot of these utes on an average of 4 to 6 a week and it's not slowing down. It still amazes me that Toyota don't fit them from new. Most tradies buy these utes to go to work during the week and then take their young family off road or up the beach on the weekend. Anyway, if you need child restraints just give me a call, I travel all over QLD and NSW when allowed. Left home last T...hursday and went to Toowoomba to fit out a 79 series, then down to Warwick for a FUSO dual cab truck. Headed back to Brissie and down to Thornlands for another 79 series, 2 anchor points in that one then off to Redland Bay, again another 79 series. Down to Gold Coast last Saturday to fit out a Toyota Commuter Bus for a child care centre, fitted 10 child restraint points into that bus, all brackets from A.R.F Australia and fitted perfectly to all the seats. On a more serious note. Some have questioned whether I use nutserts in my anchor point fit ups. The answer is "NO" I never use anything but approved backing plates which are of a minimum size under the LK6 code. Kids are worth more than the use of nutserts. On a lighter note, How many kids will be born around January, February and through to maybe May next year, look out ," the Covid Kids are coming" restrictions have kept a lot of us at home, working or not working, ummmm. 15.01.2022 I have designed a baby seat anchor point fitting plate for the D22 Nissan Navara which makes the anchor much stronger and eliminates the problems with tightening the anchor strap. The old style ute kit is a real pain with some of the baby seats and the strap just can't be tightened to where it should be. A loose baby seat is extremely dangerous. More and more Toyota dealers are coming to me wanting baby seat anchor points fitted into the 79 series ute and the response from t...he dealers and the customers is great. I am happy to supply this simple and neat, safe and compliant system and thank all for using me for their childrens safety. As I have noted before, I fit all of my baby seat anchor points to the LK6 code and do not use nutserts as some would think. Travelled down to the Gold Coast on Saturday and fitted a Child Restraint Achor Bar (C.R.A.B) to a 1964 Valiant Station Wagon, customer was extremely happy and the kids were even happier to be able to go for a drive in the wagon finally. (Pictures supplied) Then of to Waterford to fit a CRAB to a GU Nissan Patrol with a set of drawers in the back. Normally I fit the baby seat anchor Points into the roof at the rear but the fridge in this vehicle was way too big and got in the way. 15.01.2022 The 79 series Toyota and the D22 and D40 Navara's are probably the most popular vehicles I fit Child Restraints to, followed by Prado, Captiva and middle points for Ranger, BT50 and Hilux and many other vehicles but not as often as the top runners. I fit a lot for Toyota dealers prior to delivery. Again the 79 series and Prado. Roof mounted child seat anchor points in some of the older 4x4's such as the GQ & GU Patrols, Most of the Landcruisers such as 80 Series, 100 Series, ...Troopee's and Bundera's. I fitted a GU Patrol and a Toyota Bundera only today due to drawers being fitted to the back. So no matter what vehicle you have just contact me regarding the fitting of Anchor Points. All work is certified and accompanied by Compliance plate, We "DO NOT" use Nutserts as some may suggest, and wherever possible we do not drill through the cab. CHEERS See more

10.01.2022 My last post was about travelling down to Coonamble to fit out 3 x 79 series Landcruisers with Child Restraint Points, but a boost was not allowed due to "Text in my ad contained references to my audiences personal characteristics" Wow ," things are getting pretty tough aye" Anyway I am getting calls from Sydney, Newcastle, Moree and even Victoria for my Child Restraint Point services. I wish to tell all that I do not make a kit that can be mailed out, the actual anchor poin...ts are available everywhere, Supercheap, Babyco, repco etc, etc. In particular, I fit out a lot of 79 Series Landcruisers and have been asked to mail out the kit to suit these vehicles. There is no such kit, it is the way in which I fit the points which I cant mail out. Another question that I am getting asked is " do they comply in my state" Yes they do, the LK6 code is a federal code and is recognised in all states and territories regardless of the state of origin of the Compliance Plate. So, I have been asked to go down to Newcastle and further on to Sydney to fit out quite a few 79's and other vehicles, also Maitland and up to Moree. I will now organise a trip from Brisbane down the coast to Ballina, Newcastle, Sydney and then back up the New England and out to Moree to satisfy the requests that I am getting from you, this trip will be in August. It gives me a chance to catch up with family in Maitland who I haven't seen for a long time. I will be on the road between 17th to 24th of August so if you need Child Anchor Points just get in touch and book your vehicle in. 10.01.2022 Went down to Coolangatta Airport on Friday following a customers directions and found myself in NSW without a permit, but not to worry , the customer sorted it for me and a permit issued in about 1 minute. Anyway he wanted Child Seat Anchor Points fitted to a Landrover 110 Defender and because they are an aluminium body it is not possible to just bolt them into alloy, I fabricated a bar to fit across the back of the seats bolted down through the floor with compensator plates underneath. Fitted it up on Monday and the customer loved it. Fitted 2 x child restraint points to a new Landcruiser 79 series as well, customer has spent time and money to get this 79 looking really trick, its not finished yet but when it is on the road it will turn heads. 09.01.2022 The Nissan Navara single and dual cabs are another popular vehicle because of its cost second hand but, it dosen't come with Child Restraint Points in a lot of the models. 3 Child Seat Anchor Points can be fitted to these vehicles if needed. 07.01.2022 I haven't posted anything for a while because with the weather the way it is we thought we would head up to Cooloola Beach for a 7 day fishing trip, camped on the beach and settled in for a relaxed drinking and fishing break. The COVID curse sent everyone from SE QLD to the Sunshine coast for a break it seems, there were hundreds of people already there on the Monday we arrived and by thursday you were flatout getting a campsite. Then the Friday night came and the wombats wi...th their five hundred dollar fourbies with a five thousand dollar sound systems scared all the fish away, but thats fairly normal for a Friday night up there, but the onews that turned the music off at 5am Saturday morning took it a little far, they were very quiet Saturday night haha. Fitted a complete set of seat belts and a C.R.A.Bar to a 1964 Valiant station wagon while I was up there, nice old wagon and the fitup looks good, photos attached. I have been asked to fit out a few of the old cars lately. Another vehicle I have recently fitted out with a middle anchor point was a Triton with the wind down rear cab window, had to fabricate a spreader bracket and mount the Anchor Point to the floor, again there are photo's of this fit up. Probably the most I have ever fitted to one vehicle was down on the gold coast recently, a Toyota Commuter bus for a child care centre, 11 child seat anchor points in one vehicle, used all R.F.A components to complete the job.(photo's att) Still doing a lot of 79 series utes and dual cabs as well. I will be doing a trip out around Goondiwindi, Millmerrin, Toowoomba in the near future so if any of you out that way want restraints fitted just contact me on 0409627166. For all the NSW customers I am sorry but until things settle I can;t get there. I have been fitting roof mounted anchor points for some time now in GQ/GU Patrols with drawers etc, also 80/100 series cruisers. One of the biggest problems fitting anchor points is the intrusion of the belts into cargo area's so where ever possible I try to get the anchors into the cross member across the back of the roof, there is a photo of an Imax done recently. 04.01.2022 Had to fit baby seat anchor points to a couple of older Holdens in Toowoomba recently and they were a bit challenging but we got them done, then we went off to Millmerrin to fit out another 79 series with 3 points. nice drive for a Saturday. Holden Captiva's have been popular lately and some photo's show the finished job. The COVID babies are starting to be delivered and our population is growing due to this pandemic forcing people indoors at home working, well people are supposed to be working, haha.
