17.01.2022 We have some new signage and procedures for the clinic in line with updated guidelines from NSW Health and OT Australia: 5 people (including admin staff) are the maximum people present in the waiting room at one time. (Please wait outside the building if you can). 15min is the maximum time guests are permitted within the waiting room (so please don’t arrive too early for sessions). Chairs have had to be removed in the waiting room to avoid long waiting times. Families w...ill not be able to wait in the waiting room while their child’s session is being conducted to maintain social distancing and due to mask requirements. All staff will now need to wear face masks when conducting clinic sessions. Children under 12years of age will not need to wear masks. Child Sense will provide masks for adolescents over 12years of age who attend therapy in the clinic. Adults who join sessions with the child/adolescent will need to wear masks. We kindly ask that carers provide their own masks for sessions please. Please continue to pay attention to signage (which changes regularly) and direction by staff. Child Sense will continue with the current cleaning and hygiene procedures in place in the clinic. You will see the following infographic displayed around the clinic http://www.cec.health.nsw.gov.au//Amber-Alert-Moderate-Tra We thankyou again for your ongoing cooperation! Keep safe!

16.01.2022 We are looking to run an adolescent social skills group on Mondays in term 4 at 4:30pm. Originally we were thinking of running the full PEERS https://www.semel.ucla.edu/peers programme as we have a couple of accredited therapists onsite who can run this. We may still run it if we get enough interest however at this point we are planning to run a less structured programme for adolescents 13-16years of age. If you are interested in either the PEERS programme or an adolescent social skills programme for this age range then please contact [email protected] or the office (02) 95683559 and register your interest.

04.01.2022 What a great few weeks its been at Sense Rugby. We are beginning to combine some drills between the older Sense Rugby group and the Petersham Shammies which has been great fun! John Kilkenny (JK) who is the president of Petersham has bean leading a couple of drills which has been wonderful! Last training JK presented the Sense Rugby groups with Petersham Rugby caps/beanies and shirts. It was so great to see how proud each player was to receive their jersey...of course deciding between a cap and beanie is one of life's great challenges..... Look forward to continuing to integrate Sense Rugby into The Shammies....Go Sense Rugby Shammies!

03.01.2022 As many of you are aware Ashleigh will be going on maternity leave at the end of August which is so exciting for her and her family. We of course will celebrate when the little one arrives but also miss her immensely while she is away! Of course we hope to have regular baby updates and hopefully many holds if COVID-19 restrictions allow at some point!! Our planning for handover of the families who see Ashleigh is well underway. Our planning is also helped by Ali returning from maternity leave in a part time capacity from September 7. Ali will be working Mondays and Tuesdays but will have a very restricted caseload. We understand that many families would like to see Ali but unfortunately due to her limited hours this may not be possible to arrange. It will be great to have Ali back doing the work/home mum juggle!

01.01.2022 Wonderful news that last week Ash had her little baby. Welcome Hunter and congratulations to Ash and Paul! Now for the cuddles!!!
