23.01.2022 Good morning all. Just to let everyone know, there won't be any Hot Dishes this and possibly next week, as we have lost one of our bain maries, so theres just no room, until we can get another Bain Marie. On the bright side, we have got Hot Soup back as of Wednesday. The soup will be available Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. This Wednesdays is Chicken and Vegetable. 22.01.2022 WE ARE HIRING..... Experienced cook required for evening and weekend work. Between 10/12 hrs a week, plus covering holiday and sick days. Must have good time management skills, be able to work unsupervised, be honest, reliable and provide checkable references. Immediate start for right person. 22.01.2022 Hi all. Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED tomorrow so that our new kitchen equipment can be installed. At the moment, our kitchen is just an empty shell, after we pulled all the old fryers and grill out this afternoon. We do apologize for any inconvenience. We will re-open Tuesday 5am as usual. Because we are shut tomorrow, our normal Monday Hot Lunch Dish will be done on Tuesday instead....so this coming weeks Hot Lunch Menu is as follows... 21.01.2022 Hi all. Just letting you all know that there will only be Hot Lunch Meals on Mondays and Fridays from this coming week. With our weeks getting busier and busier, its getting harder to spend time prepping and cooking the Hot Dishes, so have decided to drop the Wednesday one, for now, to try and ease the burden on not just me, but the rest of my staff as well. And on that, I would like to thank all my staff for stepping up and going the extra yard over the last few months, work...ing through the Covid crisis when things didnt look so rosy, and now, when we dont have time to scratch ourselves, you've all given 120% and helped us through the most trying time of our lives, workwise. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all....Jo, Teresa, Wendy, Sarah, Chelsea, Kristy, Mak, Logan, Kerrica and Jade. And thanks to Phil for sorting all the behind the scenes stuff, being the gopher, banker, bookkeeper and general maintenance man, plus being my rock.....THANK YOU ALL Hot Lunch Dishes for the coming week are as follows... 10.01.2022 Good evening guys. Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend. With restrictions being lifted, it will be even more enjoyable, but as always, stay vigilant and safe. We will be CLOSED on Monday for the public holiday, and also we will be having an early minute tomorrow and closing at 3pm, so we can do abit of maintenance. Our Hot Lunch Dishes will resume next week as we have one of our 2 new bain maries, which gives us more room . Due to the public holiday on Monday, we wi...ll only have the hot dishes on Wednesday and Friday. They are as follows.... WED: Beef and Veggie Casserole with Mash FRI: Sweet and Sour Chicken with Rice. We also have Hot soup on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays. 09.01.2022 Good evening everyone. Here's this coming weeks hot lunch Menu.... MON: Spicy Sausage and Veg Casserole, with Mash WED: Corned Silverside, with Sweet Potato Mash and veg FRI: Mild Mince Curry with Rice... We are having a few issues with supply and quality of our normal flake....at the moment, we simply cant get it. We are trying other options, but so far, not alot of luck. Until our normal supply is returned, our ability to have flake on the menu, may be sporadic. We apologize profusely. Also, our supply of flavoured milk including Dare, and Farmers Union had been hit with production problems, so we wont have any of these, until further notice. It will be for a trail period of a month to 6 weeks, to see if it is in fact worthwhile opening Sundays. FRI: Curried Chicken with Rice We would also like to announce that we have finally found ourselves a new staff member, as well as another junior, to help our other girls and boy....so welcome to Lorraine and Lucas. With the addition of Lorraine to help us, we will eventually re-open Sunday nights, probably starting around the beginning of October. Also, we will be CLOSED on Monday 14th September, so we can have our new kitchen equipment installed. I will put up more reminders the closer that date gets. 01.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone. Heres this coming weeks Hot Lunch Menu... MON: Sweet and Sour Meatballs with Rice FRI: Cottage Pie... I've had a few people ask why no Wednesday hot dish....the answer is simple...we are so busy at the moment, theres simply no time to prep and cook it. The staff are doing an amazing job to cope with the extra workload, but we are still looking for another staff member. As rare as hens teeth at the moment, but I'll put it out there again... We need an experienced cook, who can do evenings, weekends and fill in when needed. Must have good customer service skills, be able to work independently or part of a group in a fast paced environment, is reliable, honest and hardworking. Will be about 15 hours a week to start with, but will increase with covering staff leave, sick days etc. Anyone interested, please drop your resume off to Helen or Phil at the shop.
