22.01.2022 Things I’m looking forward to this week, moving house, sunrises at Govetts Leap, runs out to Hanging Rock and Saturdays Fill Your Cup Mini Retreat!

18.01.2022 Just a beautiful sunset view from my land out in Carcoar. *I didn’t know this would become my land when I took this foto in November last year. I thought I’d be having 3months in Japan as a 40th birthday gift to myself this year... signing the contract on my dream land in my dream location is one up. Japan will wait and so can I. See you soon Carcoar!

13.01.2022 Must say, it has been real nice being back in my workspace the last few weeks. But please let’s not become complacent people, wash hands, keep to essential travel, social distancing, small gatherings, and less hovering in cafe doorways waiting for tables!

12.01.2022 I may not be all that into Christmas. But I am totally into end of year brunches + lunches. I feel very lucky to work in the most happy wellness space I’ve ever stepped inside with these lovely ladies. For a year with so many challenges, we’ve all come out pretty okay, kudos to us! Thank you to everyone who has helped keep each of our passions [businesses] going. I always mean it when I say it, I love coming to work, I love the time I have with my clients. I love all the ideas + new opportunities that unravel. Speaking of which, I’m week 4 into university studies for Psychology, it’s been a steep learning curve being a student again, the unravelling of this experience I am the most excited about though. Happy end of year Christmas or not Christmas thingys to you, be safe, be happy, be positively selfish about looking after yourselves.

11.01.2022 Project You, the workshop I love holding the most. This workshop is about Empowerment! Taking time to actively reflect on your life experiences, your defining moments, your strengths that have carried you to where you are now and your future dreams can be one of the most liberating tasks you set yourself. Sometimes we are so ready for a new chapter to begin only to reach a roadblock. We want to move past it yet there is something holding us back. This workshop is about harn...essing our limiting beliefs and projecting yourself into that next chapter. Feedback from previous participants: "I loved that Sumi created a safe and nurturing space in which I felt at ease to be open and authentic. I like that everyone had a chance to share their thoughts. It was nice hearing the answers that the others gave and feeling like we all we in 'it' together. 'It'. being both life itself with all the ups and downs, but also in terms of showing up on the day to be real with each other." "I learnt so much about myself in this workshop. That I'm actually travelling pretty well in life, but that there is room for improvement with relationship to self care, and perhaps even redefining what that actually means to me." "Project You creates a beautiful time and space to really give thought to what it is you want with relationship to your intentions and goals both internal and external. It is also a great opportunity to reflect upon how you look after yourself. I think these often tend to be thoughts that flow through and don't result in action. For me, Project You was helpful with regard to bringing all these 'shoulds' into fruition." Thank you @meganleeturton @belindamuiser @off_track_adventures for trusting me to guide you through this workshop today, I am already looking forward to when we revisit todays thoughts in a few months time and hearing how you go about creating your next steps! #projectyou #bigmagic

10.01.2022 Way back when we could vacay on little islands of Tasmania and lay on the beach next to huge kelp plants from the sea. Seemingly unrelated to this foto but actually completely related to this foto, I have some updates to share. For a long time I’ve had dreams about living out on land and creating a wellbeing space for people to unpack their minds or simply have a mini rest from the stressful times in life. Taking the step to move the Blueys brought me closer and right into my... dreams with connection to nature, like minded friends and colleagues and my business expanding into workshops and retreats. More recently I’ve taken a few more steps. I’ve bought land out at Carcoar and I’ve been accepted into university to study Psychology. At some stage this year I’ll be moving further on from the Blue Mountains to be close to university and to make the drive to Carcoar easier for when I have time to day dream about my plans for the land. All of this is super exciting for me, yet with all that’s unfolding will come some changes to my availability for massage. At the moment I’m available 4 days of the week, this is likely to change to 2 days (which days TBA) and so being organised with your appointments will be a little more necessary to avoid disappointment. Clinical Pilates class will be moving to mid morning as of next month. Thank you lovely clients [and friends and colleagues] for being so supportive about these changes as they unfold. The feel goods are felt and I am very excited about the path I am on. Love a good dose of natural progression, right!!?? See more

08.01.2022 What a M A G I C A L day to be massaging out at Vanam Retreat. So different to last time I was here, that was right after bae* and I ran* the Bilpin Bush Run, it was H O T + dry. And then as you can see the bushfires came, and now S N O W. Mother nature is so mysterious. And climate change is real. *bae is not actually my bae. bae is friend legend @emmyhancock *run wellll ‘to run’ is a variable term right?

07.01.2022 Rewind back to the beginning of the year where there was so much anxiety and overwhelm due to the bushfires. Very lovely and kind humans [you] helped me be able to help people in my Blue Mountains community by donating a massage to those who had a particularly difficult time throughout the bushfires and also to those involved on the front line and logistics as days unfolded. I am still providing massages as part of this initiative, it has been a beautiful experience and as you will read on the next slide one that has received so much gratitude from receivers. If you would like to and are in a position to support my small business and my community in this way please get in touch, almost each day I meet another person where an act of kindness like would be a dream for them. Sumi x

07.01.2022 N o t where my massage table is set up today! But I will be in here for class tonight + massaging in my little room next door this afternoon!

07.01.2022 Forever mesmerised. Day off well spent.

05.01.2022 When you’re invited to massage at Vanam it’s always a treat #yogaretreat

05.01.2022 I’m here. Today. Tomorrow. Friday. And I have appointments available.

04.01.2022 Back on deck in all capacities next week and taking appointments for massage right up until Christmas. *Christmas - how did that even happen

04.01.2022 Since we spend a considerable amount of time pre + post our Clinical Pilates classes chatterboxing I decided we may as well add wine + snacks. A lovely afternoon/evening with the group I look forward to the most each week. *a few not pictured as they had to head off early and this foto was taken when we moved from the lawn to the porch because t h u n d e r + l i g h t e n i n g Thank you for supporting me + my business, especially with this bumpy year we’ve all had. Community is so important and I am so grateful and lucky to have a place in the community pictured here.

04.01.2022 I’ve been living by this my entire adult life + will forever advocate others to take it on board @youareluminous

03.01.2022 The little sparkly things like frost on long grass during a big not so sparkly time like CV19 are worth taking a pause for. In moments of overwhelm let’s all remember to breathe.

03.01.2022 Mental Health Month, World Mental Health Day. How are you spending your time lately? I am incredibly lucky to have my little safe space to retreat to when I need a Time-Out. So much of my dream to have property in the country [] and create what is in the pipeline has to do with my ideas around mental health and wanting to take better care of myself and others. Lots of big changes happening for me with the beginnings of my Psychology degree just around the corner and LittleB...ig [that’s my property’s name] starting to take shape. I know it’s hard to reach out when times are feeling overwhelming and challenging, and so a little tip - reach out to nature as a first step for some grounding, and while you’re there please do remind yourself that the people in your life care about you and want to be with you to help you take whatever next step you might be ready for or need. Ps. @anticacarcoar does the most amazing blue cheese gelato for desert and if anything is as good for your wellbeing as nature it is that *Thank YOU Kelly + Paolo for the most delicious foodie experience today P.P.S. That’s not my horse, she’s just hanging out on my property to help with keeping the grass short + the snakes out! See more

03.01.2022 This mornings run and confirmation of last nights decision to take a small break. I’ll be starting university in three weeks and am feeling the nerves about time management so I’ll be taking a time out from work 16th-30th November while I get acquainted with student life. Also this year has been h a r d and a weekend isn’t a long enough break to recoup myself after the year that’s so far passed, I know you know what I mean *%#! I’m still completely on deck until then and will be again from 1st December.

02.01.2022 Secret remote places in Tasmania that have provided oh so much nurture at this time of year over the last 6 years. I’m sure some planetary alignment will have us back in our retreat-escape spaces soon. That or social distancing, face masks and hand washing will. Be safe x x

02.01.2022 Oneness, Mindfulness, Tranquility, Respect, this is the tone of the Japanese Tea Ceremony which originated with the Buddhist Monks in the 12th century and later became very popular with Samurai Warriors as a way to set the tone during negotiations. Yesterday we took the Japanese Tea Ceremony as a way to set the tone after a turbulent year while we now move into new beginnings this Spring with notions to embody self care more than ever before. A lovely afternoon of tea, stretching and meditation. Fill Your Cup Mini Retreat was perfect! Thank you lovely ladies for joining and Harumi for opening the workshop for us with the Japanese Tea Ceremony! If you would like to participate in this workshop in the future please let me know!

02.01.2022 A client/colleague/friend recently shared a foto of herself from a time in her life where she was in her happiness element physically + energetically. A time when much had been achieved prepping her to really step into independence and the art self made decisions. I often have insomnia and I now give into it, usually I get up and bring books and admin and my laptop to bed. The other night though I went on a trip down memory lane and found this foto. It was taken in August 200...7. By one of my closest friends @acrossthestrait on Shelly Beach. I’d just been through a bumpy few years which without a doubt shaped the independence and determination to speak up for what is right and fair that I have today. I was completely liberated when this picture was taken. Since then I’ve had many chapters, many learnings and many growths. And I’m so flippin excited that’s its all led to the decisions I make today for myself. On that I may have hurried to quickly about the need to move closer to university, it’ll be online for my first and possibly second session and so I’ve decided to pause the decision move away. The truth is I also love my life here in the mountains and I’m not quite ready to change everything up all at once! And besides I’m yet to have a summer up here... last summer does. n o t. count. When I first decided leave Sydney and live up in the Blueys my heart was set on Blackheath and so I’m making that happen. Soon! See more
