18.01.2022 Wow perfect weather for our ladies and men’s club championships and our Christmas BBQ. Congratulations to Isabel, Dianne, John and Neil for competing in the finals and to Isabel and John on winning their games. After the games we all enjoyed a yummy bbq ( thanks Graham and Ian ) salads and scrumptious sweets. B grade club singles draw will be on the notice board on Tuesday to commence play Jan 3rd. Meantime have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy 2021.

15.01.2022 Social Bowls is back today from 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start. Remember masks and social distancing is required as well as all previously listed restrictions. This Wednesday social bowls will start please put your name on the list at the clubhouse or text Brian 0426194955 or Helen 0428338960. Also pennant practice starts this week and the pre season competition starts Saturday 26th. AGM next Sunday followed by social bowls. Sunday 4th October we will have a combined Open Day for this year and Presentation Day for last season. It will be great to have some normality back. Good Bowling.

14.01.2022 A great day was enjoyed by everyone to celebrate Clem and Darryl Green Keepers Day The green was officially opened by Clem and Darryl cutting the ribbon and bowling down the first bowls since the laser levelling and other major maintenance commencing 5 weeks ago. President Brian Cassidy thanked Clem and Darryl for their commitment over the past 8 years and to the many volunteers for all their hard work, contributing to making our club the great club that it is. We starti...ng the day in very hot conditions which suddenly turned to a bit of rain and a cool change, which just as quickly changed back to more pleasant conditions. Pennant training will start back on Tuesday. There is an open night for anybody interested in bowling on Wednesday 25th at 6.30pm - we welcome beginners - it’s a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the fun of the game and the many benefits of belonging to our club. 13.01.2022 WOW what a start to our club championships. John Payne and Allan Hamilton marked by Jim Peacock started with the first game of the season for 2020/21 playing the Men’s Singles today. At 24/24 each Hammo was holding shot and John won the game on the last bowl of the game. Congratulations to John and Hammo a fantastic first class game enjoyed by everyone

10.01.2022 Chiltern Bowling Club enjoyed a great day celebrating our annual Men’s Triples Round Robin under perfect weather conditions A BBQ lunch and amazing salads provided by all participants was enjoyed by all Congratulations to the winners Reino, Ty and Jim Peacock and to runners up John Payne , Neil Pryor and Steve Woodburne. Congratulations to all players. A Big Thankyou to Linda for her commitment and expertise making for such a successful event. Due to maintenance and laser levelling the green is now closed until November 25th. Last weeks pre pennant teams will now play at Myrtleford Saturday 24th leaving the clubhouse at 11am. 08.01.2022 Congratulations to Brian & Chris Cassidy and Pauline Clearson on winning the Aylean and the late Ed Baker MixedTriples at the Rutherglen Bowling Club on their Open Day. Beautiful weather contributed to a fantastic day enjoyed by all participants. After the laser levelling our own green is looking fantastic thanks to Clem, Darryl, Brian and all the members who volunteered and worked so hard at the working bees. Looking forward to being back to normal around the end of November. We will keep you up to date with pennant details ASAP.

05.01.2022 Finally after COVID-19 restrictions and implications we were able to combine our Opening Day for 2020/21 and Presentation Day 2019/20. The weather was perfect and everyone enjoyed the occasion. President Meg’s recognised retired members Ena Dudfield and Bill Brett for their contribution to the club over the years, runner ups and winners for the club tournaments were presented with their trophies, then followed a delicious afternoon tea. Thankyou to all Members for their enthusiasm and contribution to the running of our very successful club. We look forward to an even better 2020/21 season.
