14.01.2022 What a great day for MoRide today. We had about 80 participants (plus volunteers) completing a family 'rogaining' course or 22 or 37km gravel bike rides. We have already made personal thank yous, but would love to acknowledge some key supporters: Chiltern Bakery and Chiltern Butchery for the great sausages and bread for lunch Men's Shed for cooking the BBQ SES volunteers for driving a support vehicle and providing an activity on the rogaine Chiltern Athaneaum for getting ...behind the event and letting the kids out of the jail Matt, Jonas, Rowan, Joe for leading the rides Geoff and Jan for providing backup support Carole and Robert for supervising our budding tennis players Garry Sanderson for helping to set up Indigo North Health for the much appreciated fruit. We will tally up fundraising and post an update in the next day or so. See more

12.01.2022 Why does Chiltern have MoRide? This year marks the 7th year of Chiltern's MoRide. Over the years there have been many amazing Committee Members putting in countless hours and hundreds of volunteers helping on the day. We have raised over $90,000 for Men's Health initiatives with Movember. What an amazing result, particularly for a small town. Hopefully it has also encouraged our local men to monitor their own health better. Check out this great video put together a few years ago by Movember - who interviewed Matt Williams - the founder of Chiltern's MoRide. We have a small, simpler event this year but still a great way to connect with family, friends and the local community. We hope to see you on Sunday ........

12.01.2022 We are all set for tomorrow morning. A massive shoutout to our wonderful sponsors who have made this years event possible. We are looking forward to seeing you down at the Tourist Park from 9:30 or at 12pm for our community BBQ. Don’t forget your sunscreen and water bottles ... 03.01.2022 Want to know more about this year's bike rides ??? This year’s MoRide returns to its initial format; men and women embracing the bicycle as a way of improving both their physical and mental health. MoRide 2018 will resemble a regular Sunday bunch ride in Chiltern as well as embracing the trend to explore new areas on Gravel bikes. As most would know, Chiltern has great gravel to explore and we will exploring an area unused in previous MoRides The Barambogies. ... I myself am looking forward to riding with you all and having a yarn along the way, some peoples have stories about their personal battles and their desire to be involved over the previous years has at times left me speechless. If you are wondering about what bike to ride; my suggestion is that your bike is well maintained (the trailing vehicles will not be equipped with tubes and spares) and has disc braking. MTB’s, Hybrids and Gravel Bikes are the best choice for this Mo Ride. For those that like a challenge in their ride, take on the longer 37km route. The challenge can be found on the last 500 metres of the Mt Barambogie climb not many will still be on their bike don’t let that deter you, seeing the new fire tower is well worth the climb, even on foot! From Mt Barambogie it is all downhill (Ok a few little blips) back to Chiltern.
