25.01.2022 Hi Followers. Please remember that Firewwod quality is the key to a happy heater and Maximum heat output. Unfortunately Good Wood is very hard to source and the quality isnt as it should be, Firewood availability to Victoria is spare through many of our Very Good wood yards in the Yarra valley. But they are doing the best with what has been delivered to them, So there are a few things you can do the ensure better wood.. 1. Pre-season booking of your wood at the end of the... season(October/November) or around start of March for the season ahead. Order as much as you can store. 2. Before you get to the last Half Metre of your Wood, order another load so you can give it a chance to season a little. . Wet wood is a quick killer for a Wood Heater as it Sweats inside the firebox and creates damage to the steel. 3, Dry storage is a must, up off the ground to stop rising damp from keeping your wood obtaining to much moisture..(not under a tarp, as ventilation is needed) 3, Mixture of Wood species. Mixing your firewwod can slow the build up of Creosote as different wood burn at different rates. 4, And an important note ,EVERYTIME you re-load with New Wood , keep the Air slide control 3/4, to Full open for a minimum of 10 minutes to ensure the load of wood has fully ignited before shutting the air slide down. This will not make your wood burn quicker but it will stop your Flue from dropping temperature and building up creosote This can also stop your glass from going black, but generally if your glass is going Black it is your firewwod quality. 5. 24.01.2022 We would strongly suggest NOT to repair your Heater like this just to get by. We did a Full Replacement Aranbe 240 Radiant Wood Heater with Optional 3 speed fan, and a Chimney blank off plate. Will heat this house beautifully . Call or Text Ash on 0423255948 ..

21.01.2022 Does your cowl looking this?. This is a sign of unseasoned firewood, creosote can build up as thick as 20mm within 4 weeks after cleaning your Flue. Having dry seasoned firewood is the key, better the wood ,the better the heat and a happier safer Wood Heater.. Call or Text 0424255948

18.01.2022 Just 1 more reason to have your wood heater fully inspected, This internal Stainless flue was replaced 5 yrs ago, overburning or glowing your flue red hot to self clean the flue is a recipe for disaster. In picture2 you can see the light coming through the split. We dont just replaced the damaged section we replace all sections as there is no band aid solution when it comes to safety..

17.01.2022 This flue Was Cleaned at the start of the season... Just goes to show how quick it will build up if your wood is not 100% ready to burn. This was on the point of Ignition as shown in pic 1 to the left, how the creosote is changing from Black to a brown, next is ignition. Notice all the wet creosote running down the outter casing and covering the Lead flashing ,it was also backdrafting through the cowl into the house through the default box . .. the smell is terrible trust me.

16.01.2022 "Hi Ash , I cant get my Wood Heater to draw properly"... "not a problem well come see what the problem is"...... UMMM I think we found the problem.. This 4.2 Mtr Active flue had filled a 25 litre vacuum and a 20litre bucket with creosote after we finished cleaning it... He is lucky this didnt light his house up.

15.01.2022 Please remember keeping the area clean is just as important as keeping the flue clean. I think this fan will work better now wouldn't you agree.

11.01.2022 After being put into this open fire in the late 80s with 1 length of active flue and no general maintenance this was a disaster waiting to happen.. So after removing 3x 25ltr buckets of creosote from behind the firebox, 4mtr of flexi flue a couple of bends ,she was good to keep this family warm and safe for yrs to come.

06.01.2022 When the craftsmanship of some people just blows you away. This Gentleman had 3D designed, lasercut and fabricated this Rocket stove heater himself .. Has a Triple stage burn design and the flue hardly gets hot as ALL the heat is created in this firebox and radiates a massive amount of heat.

04.01.2022 Another reason why you should use someone who "knows" what to look for, The flue fire in this triple casing Default kit had got that hot it burnt the galvanised protective coating on the corrugated Iron and destroyed her flue. Lucky it didn't take her house or worse. A job for next week

This is signs of a Chimney fire, the intense heat burns off the Gal protective coating and allows the cowl to rust, in turn allowing water to enter the active flue, outter casing and create damage to the flue, plaster and your firebox If not attended too. 02.01.2022 Having your Wood Heater serviced every year can prevent things like this. The Fan was so full of fluff and dust it had broken the fan, an expensive exercise for a full fan replacement. If this had managed to catch fire it would have been a different story..
