25.01.2022 It is with regret that we have had to again cancel the unveiling and dedication of the 'Soldier' at the Chinchilla Botanic Parklands on Saturday 26th September 2020. We thank everyone for their support but we cannot in good conscience go ahead, with the covid restrictions. Murray Travis President Chinchilla RSL Sub Branch

17.01.2022 Saturday 1st June, was the Community Fun Day at the newly opened Chinchilla Botanic Parklands. The Chinchilla RSL Sub Branch Members had a stall to sell badges to raise money to replace the spire on the Cenotaph with a soldier. This is to restore the Cenotaph as close as possible to its original form. It was a beautiful day and we thank all that stopped by to purchase a badge or to have a chat.

15.01.2022 November 11th a special Remembrance Day for all to unite as one. Remember those who fell,those who retuned after the guns fell silent ending the war. 14.01.2022 Thusday 15 th August members of the Chinchilla RSL Sub Branch will be at the Seniors Expo at the Chinchilla Cultural Centre Auditorium. We wll be selling badges for Vietnam Day, between 9am and Midday.

13.01.2022 The RSL Sub Branch would like to point out the miss reporting in the Chinchilla news today. the RSL sub branch iIs not the same or part of the memorial club ( two different identities). The money raised was not for the memorial club as per quoted. The chinchilla newspaper has been contacted after receiving a number of calls from the community. 12.01.2022 The Chinchilla RSL Sub Branch would like to thank everyone that attended the 100 year Anniversary Ceremony and luncheon. It was a fabulous day and we need to thank 6SQN RAAF from Amberley Airbase for being our Catafalque party and for giving up their weekend to attend , Councillors Peter Saxelby and Carolyn Tillman from the Western Downs Regional Council. Max Foot OAM RSL Western District President for unveiling the plaque to commorate the occassion. To the fabulous staff at the Chinchilla RSL Memorial Club especially Katrina and Mark for their amazing efforts preparing the luncheon a very big thank you. Pastor Tanya Errey thank you for all you did , it was much appreciated. And of course the very talented Maria Cousins who plays Last Post and Rouse at every major event the Sub Branch holds, thank you.

08.01.2022 Tomorrow Saturday 16th August the then Prime Minister Mr Ben Chifley Announced over the radio ww2 was over. Some 34,000 lives were lost and many returned home to their love one and families. The flags at the Botanical Parklands and the RSL Sub Branch will be lowered along with a wreath laid at both location. Please take time to remember those who died and returned....
