24.01.2022 We lost our good friend and our devoted volunteer Alastair came from the Island of Jersey in the UK, not far from the French Normandy Coast. In 1970 he came to South Australia with the British Army. He began volunteering at Red Cross at the age of 17. Alastair had lived in Hong Kong for several years and had interest in the welfare of the Chinses people. He can even speak a few words of Cantonese. He work as a volunteer for Chinese Welfare Services over 24 years.
