25.01.2022 The educators took the children from our Little Ducklings room up to the foyer to visit our new pet turtles! The next day the educators and children worked together to create a Turtle Sensory Tub, filled with sand, rocks, water, food colouring and of course toy turtles! The children had a blast exploring the different materials within the tub with their hands, whilst playing with the turtle toys.



25.01.2022 The children in the Clever Cookies room have been exploring how dinosaurs became extinct. One theory is that the volcanoes erupted causing lava to spread. The children had the opportunity to experiment with lava by squeezing the pipettes filled with white vinegar before dropping it into the tub to create hot lava!

25.01.2022 Jeans for Genes Day! A big thankyou to all the children who dressed up in their jeans and to the families who supported today and made a gold coin donation!

25.01.2022 We have recently just welcomed two baby pet turtles to our centre! The children worked together to name them everyone meet Pebbles and Biscuit! They are so cute!

24.01.2022 Book Week! We had so much fun celebrating book week! Lots of fun reading all if the books, fun activities and of course dressing up! We were so blown away at the amazing costumes!

24.01.2022 Last week we celebrated Dental Health Week. The educators spent time teaching the children about the importance of oral health and how the children can help clean and look after their teeth. The children were also invited to engage in a range of fun activities throughout the week, such as a floss the teeth experience, dramatic play dentist office and pin the toothpaste on the toothbrush.



23.01.2022 The children in the Little Ducklings room helped to create sensory bottles and a sensory bin out of sand, water, food colour and sea animals to extend on their learning about the ocean.

23.01.2022 Last week we celebrated World Rivers Day! The educators and the children in the Little Ducklings room created a river out of a recycled box and foil. The children carefully added the rocks and Ms Thanh helped create some paper boats for the children to push down the river, as the educators poured the blue water down the foil.

21.01.2022 To extend on the children's interest in Dinosaurs, the children were invited to make some Dinosaurs using our magnetic shapes. The children were given some photos of examples of how they can create magnetic dinosaurs.

21.01.2022 The children in the Little Ducklings room created a rainbow together! Our educator spread out different coloured paints across an A3 sized paper, then covered the top in glad wrap and the children then took turns using a rolling pin to push the colours along the paper.

19.01.2022 The Clever Cookies have been learning all about transport and have shown an interest in boats. The educators organised an activity in which the children created boats out of apples, toothpicks and foam. They watched their boats float or sink in the water and discussed the features of a real life boat and spoke about the times they have travelled on a boat to get to a certain place.

18.01.2022 For our school readiness program, the children had the opportunity to take the mini dinosaurs marked with lower case letters to their big homes (paper cups) that were marked with upper case letters. A great fun activity to learn upper and lower case letters!

17.01.2022 Recently the Little Ducklings celebrated the beginning of winter! They took part in a variety of activities such as: Snow and snowman sensory activity, Ice cube painting, Winter clothing, the children learned how to stay warm and Mitten craft activity.

14.01.2022 RED NOSE DAY Today all of our centres got silly for a serious cause. Red Nose Day helps save little lives and provides support to grief-stricken families. We had lots of activities including painting, arts and crafts and having lots of fun!

13.01.2022 Today we celebrated 'talk like a pirate' day. The children were involved in a variety of different experiences from going on a treasure hunt and looking for missing jewels, to digging in a sand tub to find gold, creating pirate hats out of recycled materials, practicing their number recognition and counting like a pirate, walking the plank and a pirate boat racing activity! The children had so much fun participating in the activities and dressing up!

11.01.2022 Today the children from our 0-2 nursery room engaged in an ice painting activity! The children used paintbrushes to colour the pieces of ice, whilst exploring their sense of touch as they felt the cool ice cubes in their hands.

09.01.2022 Happy Educators Day to our amazing team! You are the heartbeat of our centre and we think you are all incredible at what you do! Thank you for bringing your passion for education and making each day full of wonderful memories for the children!

09.01.2022 Space Week! The children had a blast engaging in a variety of space themed activities throughout the whole week and enjoyed learning about the planets and our solar system!

06.01.2022 To extend on the children's interest in Dinosaurs last week, we have begun a new focus topic about 'Dinosaurs'. Last week the Children were invited to play at our project table with some dirt and dinosaurs. The Children had the opportunity to visualise what it was like back in the Dino times where they used to walk in dirt and be surrounded by trees.

04.01.2022 The Preschoolers got their hands messy with a volcano eruption Science experiment! The children happily took turns pouring white vinegar into the glass jars that had been pre filled with baking soda. The two ingredients created a chemical reaction which caused the volcano to erupt and wipe out the dinosaurs. This experiment allowed the children to have fun and experiment with trial and error and cause and effect.

03.01.2022 The Little Ducklings visited the chicken pen and our beautiful vegetable garden! The children helped to pick carrots and herbs from the garden and then took them to the kitchen for Ms Cristina our wonderful cook to use for lunch!

03.01.2022 Yesterday the educators from our nursery room made sensory frames out of rocks, bark, sponges, mint and popsicle sticks for the children to explore using their sense of touch and smell.

01.01.2022 This week the Bumble Bees have been engaging in a variety of different science experiments to celebrate Science Week. The educators in the room also worked together to create a scientist dramatic play place where the children spent time dressing up, using the magnifying glasses and microscope to explore different objects.
