20.01.2022 We are open as usual today. Dr Sarah Reeves is practising from 2 -6 pm. I am in the process of writing an email for everyone on the new measures to take effect from tomorrow. Chiropractic is deemed an essential service and we will support our health care system and our community responsibly.

15.01.2022 Hello all. Moving forward from this interesting time, I will continue as we have been - working from home. Please do not come if you have any symptoms, otherwise let’s keep doing all the things that we know improve our health and our bodies and spirits capacity to deal with whatever comes our way.

15.01.2022 There seems to be some confusion about who is where and what is happening. I, Carmel Whelan, am working from home and can be contacted on 0402 666 573. The office space is being taken over by another group of chiropractors and they open this week. I shared your details so that if you went in there you wouldn’t be treated as a new patient and because I cannot accomodate everyone at home. I understand that they are using it for marketing and I am sorry about that. Hope that clears it up.

12.01.2022 A little update from Dr Sarah Reeves. I have decided to take this time during COVID 19 to be at home with my two girls. Without family around it was imperative that I be at home to under take the role of school teacher. As beautiful as it has been, I can assure you it hasn’t been without its challenges. . As we have just had confirmation of return to school dates, I intend to see out Term 2 and will look at entering back into practice post school holidays. I am beyond grateful to have had the pleasure in supporting you in your health over the last 4yrs and let’s see what the bright and beautiful future holds. Lots of love Sarah

10.01.2022 Update - no medical referral necessary but still emergencies only. People have asked me what constitutes an emergency. Think what would keep you out of a hospital emergency department. If that is needed, you are able to travel more than 5km to the appointment.

05.01.2022 Good morning all. I am writing to let you know that I have decided to move to new restrictions of practice for myself and my staff and the community in general. From today we will no longer be working from the premises until after Easter, when I will re assess. If you have an emergency, you can contact me directly. The number will be on the clinic recorded message. In the meantime, remember all the advice I have given you over the years and please take the time and conscious decision to act on it. 04.01.2022 Stage 4 lockdown and allied health professionals have been told that we can only see people who have been referred by a medical practitioner and are in extreme need. That sounds like emergencies only to me. Please limit you time moving around the community and hopefully we will be back to the ‘new normal’ in 6 weeks.

02.01.2022 In light of some states shutting down ‘non-essential services’, the Federal Health Minister has confirmed that ALL allied health businesses nationally can conti...nue working and are encouraged to do so. The Minister has also indicated that the Australian Government Department of Health is now developing full allied health telehealth options, along with other health and medical services, within the week. This will be part of a staged plan and he encourages providers to continue vital face-to-face services where possible. The ACA represents the chiropractic profession as a member of Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA), who are currently liaising with the Department of Health regarding this development and will be meeting with the Department shortly to discuss details for allied health items.
