13.01.2022 For those who spend long hours working on laptops, try and spend an hour or two using your laptop standing rather than sitting. You will need a multilevel setup to achieve this so that you dont stain your neck. If you can invest in a standing desk or there are desktop convertors that can achieve the same kind of effect. However, you are working we hope that these small steps will help you to maintain your spinal healthy while getting your job done.

11.01.2022 Remember to take breaks. If you need to set an alarm on your phone to remind you to take a break every half hour or so. Do some simple stretches at your desk. Stretch your neck, shoulders, arms and legs. Every hour get up from your desk and walk around to get the blood flowing and muscles loose. Give your eyes a break from the screen and let them rest on something in the distance. We are mobile beings and arent made to sit all day.

11.01.2022 The type of chair that you sit in while you are using your laptop is critical. An office chair that is fully adjustable and has a lumbar support may work, but you must make sure that is set up correctly for you. If you chair lacks adequate support, you may need to use a lumbar roll. Always sit all the back in the seat so you have the support of the lumbar bar. The lumbar bar helps to maintain the natural curve in your lower back. For your neck, head position, your ears should always be above your shoulders and not in front.

08.01.2022 While laptops are designed for portability and ease of use, be sure that your screen is big enough for your needs. Smaller screens may cause you to strain to see text and objects. If possible, plug-in a larger screen.

Remember when carrying heavy loads to keep the object as close to your body as you can, bend at the knees to lessen the strain on your back, use both hands and slowly stand up. 07.01.2022 If you can use an external mouse and keyboard and an external screen. Position the external screen at eye level and position your keyboard at a level that allows your shoulders and arms to relax. Your elbows should be a t a 90 angel, tucked close to your body, and your wrists should be in a neutral position when typing. This posture helps you from wounding your shoulders and pulling your neck muscles.

06.01.2022 HUMAN BODY FACTS: Nerves consume 20% of the bodys oxygen supply, despite having only 2% of the entire body weight.

05.01.2022 The best way to use your laptop is to raise the screen higher. The ideal height and angle allows you to view the screen easily, so you are not bending or rotating your neck. Elevate the laptop to where the top third of the screen is at eye height by placing it on a stable surface such as a stand or a pile of thick books.

01.01.2022 These simple, at-home remedies can help improve pain caused by a muscle strain and help speed up healing.

01.01.2022 If you have to raise your chair to have your arms and wrists in the correct position, check to see how your legs are angled. You should have your feet placed flat on the floor, and your knees should be at an even height with your hips. If your hips are too high or your feet arent touching the floor, use a step or block to support the bottom of your feet. This helps to maintain a neutral lumbar spine and reduce the load on your lower back.
