The evening and programme culminated with the parents honouring their child and then gifting them with their Senior School tie. Acceptance of this tie symbolised the child’s journey in Lower School ending and a new chapter in Senior School beginning.

Kasha shared with us a valuable experience of being encouraged to try out her talents: "When Ms Green gave me five separate panels as the canvas of my painting, I was so worried and put off as I didn’t believe that I was capable of painting something that actually looked good. However Ms Green’s encouragement and faith in me pushed me out of my comfort zone and resulted in this artwork." The artwork named ‘Sacino’s Cabin’ will be on display at The Rise Maylands - 28 Eighth Avenue, Maylands, until 14 November and the Choice Awards will be announced on the last day.
