I am aware that apricot kernels are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, however as I am not a practitioner I can say no more than that. It's great you are doing your own research, and there certainly is a lot of info about it online. Regarding the type of kernels used, our kernels are raw, new season kernels of the bitter variety, so yes they are the same type. I'm glad your parents are well, stay safe! Kelly
