25.01.2022 A reminder that we will have a stall at the Bindoon Farmers Market on Sunday 22. It's at Clune Park, 8.30 - 12.30. We'll have lots of freshly baked goodies that you can eat straight away or take home to enjoy later. We'll also have lots of things that would be great gifts for your family and friends - preserves, cook books and craft items. The funds we raise from sales are used in our community service activities, so we really appreciate your support!
25.01.2022 Remembrance Day Today we remember all whose lives have been, and continue to be, impacted by war and violence throughout the world. We speak the names of those we know who served our country in so many wars and those who serve today. We give thanks for the freedom we enjoy today because of their bravery and sacrifice. We speak the names of family members forever impacted by the effects of war on those who returned.... We pray for lasting peace today especially in those countries being torn apart by war. May peace be on the lips and in the hearts of all leaders, may peace be on our own lips and in our hearts. We remember...we speak...we give thanks...we pray...lest we forget. 23.01.2022 We want to let you know that the Chittering-Bindoon CWA will have a stall at the Bindoon Farmers Market on Sunday, 22 Nov. It's at Clune Park from 8.30 - 12.30. We'll be selling cakes, cookies, slice, etc., along with a wide range of the craft goods our members make. You'll want to snack on the food straight away, but the craft items might be a great Christmas gift option for those you love. Call in to our stall - the funds raised from sales support the work of our branch, so your contribution will be gratefully received.
21.01.2022 It's World Cancer Day today. It's estimated that at some stage in the course of a lifetime, every second person will develop cancer. That's an extraordinary figure and one thing it means is that all of us will know someone who has cancer or maybe have had cancer ourselves. If you're in a position to do so, consider donating to cancer research through the Cancer Council of WA or other cancer research organisations. More locally, think about those you know who have cancer and consider what support you can provide to take away some of the aloneness of their cancer journey. Early detection of any cancer increases the chance of successful treatment, so keep an eye on your body and get things checked out by your doctor if you think there might be a problem.

21.01.2022 It takes a team of great collaborators to keep an organisation running effectively and efficiently. At the AGM of the Chittering-Bindoon CWA yesterday, we elected our 2021 office bearers and appointed some other positions. Congratulations to Jan Petersen, elected President; Carolyn Cover, elected Secretary; Margaret Trigg, elected Treasurer. Supporting these women are Vera Jowett and Pat Beard as Vice Presidents; Pat Beard as Social and Welfare officer; and Carmel Ross as Public Relations officer. Congratulations and thank you to these women for their generosity in serving the CWA in these roles!

18.01.2022 This morning we gathered at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bindoon for a beautiful, moving service to 'give honour to God' - part of our pledge at each meeting. Rev. Peggy led us in prayer and song on a glorious spring morning. Thank you to the parish community for your warm welcome and hospitality (not to mention morning tea...) - we enjoyed a time of fellowship after the service.
18.01.2022 Today is RUOK? day - is there anyone in your circle who you might check-in with today, to see how they're travelling?

18.01.2022 We had a fabulous day with our Craft and Cake stall today outside Bindoon IGA. On a beautiful spring morning, it seemed like everyone came along! All of our cakes, jams and other food items sold out, as did lots of our craft items. And in case you're wondering, the winner of the raffle was Gamby Ramirez, who was delighted with his good fortune! A huge THANK YOU to all the people who called in to buy something - we appreciate your support of the Chittering-Bindoon CWA! And a big thank you to Bindoon IGA for providing a space for our stall - this is a perfect spot and we're grateful for their support!

15.01.2022 It's International Peace Day today. Peace belongs everywhere - in our own hearts, in our families, our workplaces, our communities, our nation and all others. At our recent service, we sang the CWA hymn 'Song of Peace'. Lyrics include: 'This is my song, O God of all nations, a song of peace for lands afar and mine.' Peace is not just about politics between nations, it's about each one of us living our daily lives in harmony with each other...
14.01.2022 Hello again everyone! You'll be delighted, as we are, to know our Craft and Cake stall and raffle outside Bindoon IGA yesterday raised $617.30!!! Needless to say, we're grateful - we couldn't do it without you! Your support enables us to buy materials to make craft items such as blankets, beanies, toys, feelie hearts, that are then made by our members at craft meetings on Tuesday mornings, then donated near and far to those who need them. THANK YOU again!

08.01.2022 One of the quite moving moments at our service at Holy Trinity Church yesterday was when the congregation sang the CWA Creed: I would be true, for there are those who trust me; I would be pure, for there are those who care; I would be strong, for there is much to suffer; I would be brave, for there is much to dare;... I would be friend to all the foe the friendless; I would be giving and forget the gift; I would be humble, for I know my weakness; I would look up and laugh and love and lift. If you are musically inclined, the melody for this is Danny Boy. Much food for thought and wonderful values to live by... See more

01.01.2022 Our members are talented women who are on the lookout for ways to serve the community. A current initiative involves working with Annie at the Shire of Chittering Library to create a felt board and figures to go on it, along with a collection of charming puppets for story-telling - such as Goldilocks and the three bears. Check out the photos to see the skills of our members!
