21.01.2022 Hi my name is Karryn Chivers (BSocScCouns, DipCommServAlcohO/DrugsMentalHlth). I have recently opened my own counselling practice at Tuggerah on the NSW Central Coast. I am a member of PACFA and offer affordable counselling for individuals and couples struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, addictive behaviours, low self-esteem, domestic violence, and the effects of trauma. ... The seeds of interest that eventually led me to pursue study and training in this field really grew from the impact of receiving counselling myself while in my 20’s and 30’s. Through addressing my own personal struggles in this way, I experienced significant changes and a greater sense of personal freedom and hope for the future. I developed an avid interest in understanding individuals, life and relationships better. I learnt how to ‘really listen’ to others, and saw how this skill alone can change relationship dynamics significantly. At Chivers Counselling & Relationship Services, we not only offer personal counselling but also coaching in relationship and listening skills for individuals, couples or small groups.
