23.01.2022 We were privileged to design this house and it was just finished by the builder (Inquire Invent). It's clad in charred timber and uses the old shed as shuttering for the concrete wall. On the wall is a plaque that reads: "This house was purchased by Kasimiersz and Lucia in 1955. They were two displaced persons who had escaped a war torn Europe. They worked hard, found a new life and started a family. As with all of us they had successes and failures, especially in a country ...that was not always welcoming to foreigners. But time passed, they were accepted and they saw their lives grow and the house became a home. Their greatest achievements were their profound love for their children and the unshakable faith that all hope for the future was vested in these same children. If you are fortunate enough to live in this house I would ask that you think of those who have come before you and reflect on the love and hope that filled its rooms" The plaque was cast by their son Stan, my client, on behalf of himself and his two siblings, George and Anna. George and Anna died before Kasimiersz did. Photographs by the supremely talented Garth Oriander

09.01.2022 and on a smaller note here is a cubby house we helped design with four and five year olds - they wanted a' tree nest'. The cubby is supposed to hang from a tree and vines will grow through it.

07.01.2022 I'm renovating my house and writing a blog about it. It explains the process and is hopefully useful for anyone thinking about renovating. http://stkhousebuild.wordpress.com/about/

05.01.2022 1 of 6. The images below show a proposal that we did for portable classrooms in Australia. They are delivered by truck (4/6) as a flat-packed kit of parts. The buildings can be configured in different ways (3/6) and clustered together to form dynamic internal and external space (5/6). They can be assembled using different panels (6/6) to suit different locations (2/6). Image 1 out of 6 can be printed, cut out and made if there's nothing on TV.
