Although we enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world, not every Australian is so lucky to be at the receiving end of Australia 's success story. The lack of affordable housing has resulted in far more people falling through the cracks. Homelessness can happen to anyone anywhere. Some statistics: One out of every eight Australians (2.35 million) has experienced homelessness. One in 12 (1.4 million) has slept rough. 105,237 Australians have no place to call home. More than 41,000 people are sleeping in severely overcrowded dwellings. Another 6,000 Australians are sleeping rough in improvised dwellings, tents or out in the elements Each year 1 in 42 women aged 15-24 will access a specialist homelessness service. 423 women fleeing domestic violence are being turned away every night from crisis accommodation because of overcrowding. At CWG, we do not take our social responsibility lightly and are privileged to be part of this year's CEO Sleepout to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 22nd June 2017. 19.01.2022 Uptown, Roseville’s Jewel in the Crown heads for completion Purchasers turned up in droves over the past weekend to inspect their brand new apartments in the Uptown Project in Roseville, the much anticipated joint venture project between CWG Development and Longton Capital. Future Residents were treated to a personal tour of their units as well as the Project’s compounds, accompanied by representatives from Icon ( the Builder for the Project) and members of the Uptown Settle...ment Team.
