09.01.2022 A week ago our little grand daughter Ruby had her 1st Birthday! What a celebration it was with 2 parties Not without a huge challenge, I had the pleasure to make her 2 cakes, to her favourite ‘Bunny’ theme, and travel all the way to Sydney! Not only the distance, 40+ heat and humidity was any decorators nightmare it was. Lucky I was able to ‘pull a rabbit out of a hat’ to eventually hav Ruby’s cake ready! it was white chocolate and Raspberry and a gluten free carrot cake were the flavours, that was enjoyed by all. 08.01.2022 Exactly a week ago to date, my beautiful precious daughter Dilshani got married to her love of her life, Alexander Rollo, giving me another son to love Wedding preparation and planning kept me busy and I apologise for not taking orders for a while due to time restrictions for my commitments for the wedding. Yes I had the ultimate honour to make Shani & Alex's wedding cake! I hav made many beautiful cakes for brides with lot of love & passion. This was done with my heart & ...soul! Her vision & theme of having a rustic country wedding In the town of Temora she grew up, with the stunning & beautiful dirnaseer as the backdrop, the wedding was just magical! She had native flowers and that challenged me to make these blossoms I hav never tried before. Yes, hrs of labour of love, making and moulding every petal & leaf. It was exciting as each flower bloomed, almost real The cake had 2 flavours. Chocolate, date & walnut & the other white chocolate. On the day it was complimented with a cake station of many different cakes and flavours and also with a stand of traditional Sri Lankan wedding cake, boxed as a wedding favour. The cake was done and it took my breath away. I couldn't do it any better and was happy it came together beautifully. I loved the moment the couple saw the cake for the first time Their reaction was worth every sleepless night I spent working on it then it was the challenge of transporting it to the venue 20km out of town with the slowest ride in my life and help from a few, we got it safely to the venue, where it took its pride of place!! What a relief And a Mission accomplished!! I was blown away by the compliments I received. Was so happy I could create something special like this for my beautiful daughter on her wedding day, wishing the gorgeous couple all my love & and only the best!! Love u always Mum
