Did you know that mendiants are a Christmas tradition in Provence, and feature as part of Les 13 Desserts de Noel? Traditionally, they represent the four mendicant (beggar) monastic orders, and the colours of their robes - almond (Carmelites), hazelnuts (Augustins), raisins (Dominicans), and dried figs (Franciscans).... These days, we all take artistic license with the toppings we use, because they're just too delicious.

01.01.2022 After the year we’ve had, I honestly wasn’t sure if I should even make a Christmas range of chocolates at all. But I’ve been so blown away this Christmas! All our bonbons were sold out and I ended up dipping into the stash I had put aside for family gifts so customers could get their bonbons (sorry fam ). Thank you to all our customers the regulars who keep coming back and the new ones and a massive thank you to the support of Melburnians for all the local support. This... year has been especially hard for us and your dedication to supporting local business is amazing. It truly means the world to me . I’ve only got a few tubes of mendiants and salted caramel popcorn left and a few stray bars. If you’re looking for something delicious to bring to a summer BBQ or New Year’s party, hit us up on the shop. I’ll be taking a short break before getting stuck into it early in Jan 2021.
