17.01.2022 Most of you know in June I took over as co Artistic Director of Choir of Hard Knocks. A huge undertaking but equally rewarding. Its funny, I never thought of m...yself as a leader nor did I ever think about conducting a choir. Its one of those cool examples of life just happening and whilst your so busy aiming for one thing you dont realize that whilst youve been pursuing that path it somehow took you down a road to something else equally wonderful that you could have never predicted. I have learnt and gained so much already and I thank you Jonathon Welch for entrusting Adam and I with this incredible group you built over 13 years. I am a singer and a leader of other singers. 07.01.2022 We all had such a wonderful time yesterday at our CoHK Christmas Lunch. A great big thank you to The Choir Of Opportunity for raising money to fund our lunch for us. It was delicious! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Christmas appeal. 03.01.2022 Happy World Mental Health Day to all my followers and friends! Today I had the honor and pleasure of leading The Choir of Hard Knocks in a brilliant performance... at Monash Health for the occasion. The best part was giving the choir an opportunity to speak about what being apart of the group means to them and how it helps their mental health. As Anna so beautifully put it The choir gives me something to live for We all need that something get out of bed for in the morning and I encourage everyone to make sure you do something/anything that you enjoy, that makes you smile and that keeps you connected with those around you. There is no better medicine than the joy that comes from belonging to a group and sharing experiences with others. Stay connected. Always make time to do something you love. Even if its juts an hour a week. As the choir said today Even getting together just once a week can be the difference between a happy week and a lonely one Very proud of them . 02.01.2022 Today I approached Amanda sitting in the corner quietly over lunch pouring over a piece of paper with a concentrated look on her face. I asked her what she was up to and she gleefully lifted up her piece of paper to show a gorgeous drawing of a little house and garden. She then flipped over the piece of paper to reveal a message she had written on the other side. It read Put on a happy face its choir time Heart overflowing. Day made. Danielle x

These last few months have been particularly hard on many, and our choir is not exempt. We are run solely on donations from generous people like yourselves and income from our performances.
