22.01.2022 With so much choice it can be a little overwhelming to spot a toy/activity that our children will play with again and again. Would it appeal to children of different ages and stages? ... Can you think of a few different ways your child could use the toy/activity? Does it provide opportunities for both structured and unstructured or free play? Is it reusable? 19.01.2022 Working on planning and sequencing skills doesnt have to be boring. Its all in the sell! Today weve gone with an outer space theme. For some kids planning and sequencing can be a challenge. Knowing how and what to do next doesnt always come naturally, and needs to be practised. As parents, teachers and therapists our job is to make it fun. One idea is to embed the skills in an engaging activity. Here weve used space themed small world play pieces, as well as rice and aluminium foil as a sensory component. This beautiful set by DJECO helps kids get started by following the card guide. They will enjoy using their hands to find the hidden rocket pieces they need.
