24.01.2022 Rainy ride to clear my head before getting to work planning how to weather the Coronavirus storm. It’s a bit overwhelming as a small business owner but my main worry is for my beautiful clients who don’t yet have a lot of resilience around changes to their food environment. We’ll be able to offer videoconference and phone consultations and will send out an email to all current clients with options for continuing their sessions if we’re required to stop face to face appoint...ments or if any of our staff develop any symptoms and need to self isolate. 22.01.2022 Making myself comfortable at my little desk at home as I envisage spending a lot of time here in the coming weeks and months. I don’t usually work Sunday night but need to make an exception to communicate with our clients. Due to the increasing spread and threat of Coronovirus, we have made the difficult decision to move all our appointment to videoconferencing or phone effective Tuesday March 24. As we do have the ability and capacity to move online, we believe it is the... socially responsible thing to do at this time. We have helped many clients over recent years via video-conference and phone consultations so are confident that it is an effective way to provide dietetic counselling. We also appreciate that many of our clients may have been financially impacted by the current health crisis and closures. While we also expect to be significantly impacted, if you are in need of a concession option to enable you to continue with dietetic support, please talk to your dietitian as we are committed to increasing the number of concession spots that we carry into the coming months. A different guest lecture experience today with my partner in crime Susan Williams from Zest Nutrition Consulting as we recorded the first part of our annual lecture for Wollongong University dietetics students as we obviously can’t go and give it. The second bit is a live Q&A next week. 08.01.2022 Well Monday was a strange but good day as Ange and I moved from our original East Maitland rooms at the Old George and Dragon and into new rooms within @physiostudio_2323 at the new health complex at Poynton Place in Thornton. We loved our little room but are really excited to be taking this step. For now we will still be doing all our sessions via videoconference but I can’t wait until we can move in properly and see clients face to face again. ... It’s pretty challenging to move and set up an office while maintaining social distancing but I think we did it! We are still open and accepting new clients while supporting our existing clients in this challenging time. She has a background as a legal secretary, is Mum to 4 beautiful kids and a long time friend of mine.
