02.01.2022 CHIA QLD presented it's plan for engaging Community Housing Providers (CHPs) over the Qld Govt's Partnering for Growth initiative at a workshop for Gladstone CHPs and Department of Housing and Public Works executive staff today. The Central Queensland region has a great network of people working together to eliminate long term homelessness through the provision of social and affordable housing, and referrals to support people to maintain tenancies. This is the first of a series of statewide consultations as part of the Department's preparation for introducing significant change to the legal, financial and operating frameworks in which CHPs are funded to develop and deliver housing services. Our thanks are also due to Q Shelter, the state funded peak responsible for arranging the consultations across Queensland. Jo Ahern, CEO & Co Sec.
