25.01.2022 Just finished these walking sticks for a customer to choose from.

24.01.2022 A productive week. Custom orders. 10 half ball, lounge "legs" for a furniture maker. Replacement table leg from salvaged Jarrah post for a private customer.

24.01.2022 Another custom order completed. Table legs in pine, dia. 130mm x 600mm long.

24.01.2022 The next event we are at, is Shannons Classic Car Show at Ascot racecourse March 8th. As well as our usual range of handcrafted wood products we are showing our new range of Collectors model cars.

20.01.2022 Another custom order completed. Salad server set. Figured Jarrah with pewter frogs on stem. One advantage of custom made is , it's unique. The only set in the world handcrafted right here in WA.

20.01.2022 Been finishing some unfinished projects in readiness for some easing of the restrictions . We are able to except custom orders again. Please contact us for further info.

20.01.2022 We are now able to produce dining table pedestals and matching (or custom design) table tops, post size up to, dia 400mm x L. 1100MM . This one, post dia 200mm x 690mm h. Would suit 2 to 4 seat top. Larger could be 2 pedestals with rectangular table top to sear up 12.

15.01.2022 Just completed. Custom order of 4 corner posts (865mm long, glued MDF) for a kitchen island, for Custom Cabinets WA, Wangara. Photos, 1. from this, to 2. to finished posts ready to be painted.

14.01.2022 Just to change the subject this week. Had a couple of requests for yarn bowls, so came up with these. 1. Bunya pine with natural colouring. 2. Unkown species, Salvaged log. 3. Tuart. All, size 195mm dia x 90mm high.

14.01.2022 A few years ago I was fortunate enough to trace my family name (originally Frijters) and direct lineage back to 1450, from the south the Netherlands. We always wondered how the name originated. Well I've just learnt, thanks to unkown family member's research, the name derived from Writer, to Switers, to Swrijters to Frijters. And the original meaning in very old Dutch from the trade/profession, Writer meant Woodturner. Must be in the genes as I have been a professional Woodturner for nigh on 30 years. Life/history repeating itself. Spooky.

11.01.2022 Must admit it was high time this mess of what is supposed to be the workshop, was cleared and sorted. Spend the "lock down" so far doing just that and re organising a few things. Still need about another week but at least I can see the space and not trip over my own feet. After that? Well I'll get back into doing some work and take on a few orders just to keep busy. 06.01.2022 With the crisis as fluid as it is, and because of my underlying health issues, I have decided to close my doors to outside custom work and visitors. I pray that everyone takes care and stays safe and in good health. I hope to keep busy and create some new work, which I will post from time to time. I hope to be open for business again soon. 04.01.2022 Just wanted to show these Pine Sandwich / underplates. We have been using these for over 20 years. Well used with all the cut marks, gives them a real individual character. There's nothing more appealing and characterful then well used wooden utensils.

04.01.2022 Well Sunday was one long and tiring day, but great, enjoyable. Huge community festival. Fab music, wonderfull people, lots of food, great atmosphere. If you missed it, put it in your diaries for next year. Better still sign up to their news letter.
