19.01.2022 With Easter coming up, most of you will be enjoying some nice (sweet) snacks. It is best to avoid hard, crunchy or sticky foods that may break the wire or brackets. Also remember to brush and floss your teeth well after eating/drinking sweet foods/drinks over this time. When able to do so, water and milk is better than soft drinks and cordial. Anyone with braces should read the article below. Have a nice Easter.

19.01.2022 Dentists and Dental Specialists like orthodontists are now in Level 3 Restrictions. That means all non-essential dental services must be deferred unless it can be performed via a video communication platform such as Facetime and Skype. For the majority of orthodontic procedures, communication via video call will not be possible due to the nature of the treatment. For new patients requiring an orthodontic consultation, this may be performed via a video call. Message me to arra...nge a complimentary consultation and for further details. For patients undergoing orthodontic treatment with an emergency or problem causing pain, I will still be able to see you at the clinic. Message me through this page, send me an email or send a text message to my mobile phone to arrange an appointment. From week to week, I will be contacting all patients with future appointments with regards to the current COVID-19 situation. All non-emergency appointments will be rescheduled until restrictions are lifted. Best wishes to you and your family. Take care and stay safe. Dr Chris Ho.

13.01.2022 Greetings to everyone, Following the latest advice from government and health authorities, orthodontic practices will now be reopening. While there are still some restrictions regarding the types of procedures we can perform, we are able to begin seeing patients again and we will be in touch with you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. If you already have an appointment, we will be sending a text message reminder during the weekend before your appointment. We ask ...that you please bear with us at this time as we do our best to contact patients as quickly as we can. Your health and safety is of the utmost importance to us and we will continue to operate with additional precautions in place to best protect you and our staff. We ask that when visiting our practice, please observe the health and safety information displayed and follow the directions of practice staff. If you have any questions or concerns or an urgent need prior to your appointment, please message us or contact us via phone or email. We look forward to seeing you very soon. Best wishes, Chris Ho

06.01.2022 Wishing all Mums a happy Mother's day. Hope that you had a wonderful day. My family had a fantastic weekend. There was more good news over the weekend with the government relaxing restrictions further on orthodontic practices. We are now able to do more procedures as orthodontic practices return towards near normal conditions. We still need to practice social distancing in the waiting room. There is a requirement that hand sanitisers be used when you arrive and patients will ...be asked to do a 30 seconds mouthrinse before having their orthodontic treatment. In addition, it is important that you request that your orthodontic appointment be re-scheduled if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of smell/taste or other respiratory symptoms and/or have been overseas in the last 2 weeks, had close contact with a confirmed/suspected COVID-19 case in the last 2 weeks, resided in or visited an area with a cluster of COVID-19 cases, recently tested for COVID-19. I look forward to seeing all my patients again over the next few weeks. Have a great week

06.01.2022 Should I see an Orthodontist or a Dentist to have my teeth straightened?

05.01.2022 It has been 3 weeks since the ban on public gatherings of 500 people or more. This led to the cancellation of the Australian Society of Orthodontists conference in Cairns on the following weekend that I had booked to attend. So much more has happened since then around the world. I am home bound for a while playing board games with my children. So far, my children have ressurected Scrabble and Monopoly. Their vocabulary has surpassed mine as I prepared myself for the wooden spoon award. Non-essential services in Dentistry and Orthodontics are still closed. Only emergency treatment may be provided. To all of you take care.

02.01.2022 Day by day our daily routines are changing and revolving around COVID-19. Below is a post issued by the Australian Society of Orthodontists. I will provide updates as information becomes available.
