23.01.2022 Another completed Annastacia Palaszczuk MP Labor Government commitment in the Northern Gold Coast!

23.01.2022 As a nurse, I saw the effects caused by the LNP cuts. Labor has delivered over 7000 more nurses and midwives since 2015. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP is backing Queenslander's Health and given the year we've had and around the world, I'm backing our Premier.

23.01.2022 Nil new cases today.

23.01.2022 Another bit of analysis by Mr Green.

16.01.2022 In a year that's been filled with uncertainty, sacrifice, and adversity I want to take this opportunity to put politics aside and thank the front line health care workers and support staff who have done such incredible work. I know during my time on the front lines during Covid-19 how hard nurses, doctors, wardies, cleaners and my colleagues in the Acute Care Team in community mental health have worked and the difference they've made in Queenslanders lives #healthheroesweek

12.01.2022 Today is International Day of Older Persons. It is important for us all to take the time to acknowledge all our elder statespeople in our lives and around us. We all accumulate a wealth of knowledge as we move through our busy lives, but we quite often forget to acknowledge the life experiences and value of the shoulders we stand upon of those who have forged their way in life ahead of us.... What we appreciate in life today was most likely hard fought for by those who are often forgotten. I was alway taught to give thanks and show my respect to my elders as a child and have and will continue as I move through life. #Respect #OurlivingLibariesOfThePast

12.01.2022 Great news Gold Coast. From this morning Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Glen Innes council areas will be added to the border bubble. Queenslanders and anyone from within the NSW side of the border bubble can freely travel within Queensland and Northern NSW but we’re still maintaining our strong borders with the rest of NSW and Victoria.

08.01.2022 #ThrowbackThursday. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Australian legend Bob Hawke.

08.01.2022 We’re turning trash into treasure - and it’s all about jobs Our $27 million investment in recycling will help create 303 new jobs in Queensland. The funding will divert more than 957,000 tonnes of rubbish from landfill each year and help grow the recycling industry in Queensland.... By reusing materials, the resource recovery industry directly contributes at least $830 million to the Queensland economy turning rubbish into economic prosperity and jobs. Queensland has a plan for economic recovery, and supporting our resource recovery industries is a key part of that plan. #recycling #qldjobs

08.01.2022 BREAKING: We’re backing our police force with the biggest increase in police resourcing in almost 30 years. The Palaszczuk Government will provide an additional 2,025 police personnel over five years and deliver 25 extra mobile police beats. 1,450 of those will be deployed to the frontline, meaning at least 150 new officers in each key region across the state.... It is because of the efforts of Queenslanders and frontline staff like the Queensland Police Service that Queensland is in a position to recover more quickly than other states. This means we can focus on our economic recovery and support more jobs, sooner.

05.01.2022 As a nurse having worked in one of the big immunosuppressive units in LA/USA, in the early 90’s during a very devastating time in those early years, this day has so much meaning to me on so many levels. I lost friends, cared for and attended to so many while consoling their loved ones and family. #thosethatarerememberedwillneverbefogotten #worldaidsday2020

04.01.2022 BREAKING: Some restrictions have now eased in Queensland. Pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafés can now have double the number of patrons outdoors.... That means you can meet more of your friends for breakfast or at your favourite beer garden. Restrictions have also eased on theme parks, zoos and stadiums, while up to 1,000 people can attend outdoor events such as sports carnivals and school fêtes. The Queensland border zone has also expanded, and anyone in the border zone can now enter Queensland for any purpose. Border residents can apply for a border pass and travel around Queensland, and Queenslanders can travel to those places as well. We’re taking measured steps, based on the health advice, to keep our economic recovery on track and the virus at bay. It’s only possible because of our strong health response. So thank you. Let’s keep working together.
