19.01.2022 Hello and thank you for your support in the council elections. I have been told that there are now some unfavorable or disingenuous FB posts and other materials or comments doing the rounds about me. This is of course is unsatisfactory and I would think be taking place to muddy the waters or detract from the real issues here. It is this type of behavior that people are sick and tired of and only serves to polarize the community and confirm peoples opinions of politics. I hav...e no intention of lowering myself into a tit for tat about nonsense and innuendo. My record stands for itself as does my extended service to my state and country when I was a policeman and soldier. I have continued this service with with my pro bono work in law and serving the community through memberships of various clubs and sponsorships. So in response to these "slurs" I would ask that the residents and ratepayers conduct their research into the candidates and vote as they see fit and in what ever order they deem fit. - Hopefully putting me number 1 See more
17.01.2022 Hello and thanks again for your support in the council elections. Received quite a lot of questions about why I am preferencing one particular candidate over another in my how to vote card. The reality of our preference system of voting effectively means you have to have preferening in order to stand a chance of getting elected. Particularly if as is the case here in Bunyip if you are running against an incumbent office holder who is also Deputy Mayor. So preferences are ab...out numbers not necessarily about shared values , views or styles. Its one of the things I don't like about our system. I encourage my supporters to vote 1 ANDREWS, Chris and they either follow my how to vote card or vote how you see fit. You don't have to follow my how to vote card but make sure you put a number in every box or your vote will be invalid. Personally I would prefer if our voting system was a lot simpler like first across the line (who has the most votes in the first count) but regrettably I don't make the rules. That being said I appreciate the fact that in this country we can vote! See more
08.01.2022 Hello and thank you again for your support in the Council elections 2020. Well postal votes/ballot papers should now all be in the post and hopefully safely on their way to the VEC for counting. Now that we can travel 25 kilometers I can arrange for all my signage and corflute's to come down so I don't have to endure the trauma of seeing my face all over the district. Im sure that some of you may very well feel the same way. Hopefully once the count is complete and if success...ful I will be able to change this page into my social media account as a councilor and it can be used as a avenue for easy dissemination of information and feedback. I would now like to take the opportunity to thank the other candidates for participating in the election and being part of the process. Hopefully in the event they are successful they will lead the council in the best interests of the community - and enjoy themselves at the same time. Lastly to my lovely partner, children and supporters thank you very much for all your support - particularly in these difficult times. All the best and well done Richmond and go Melbourne Storm! 04.01.2022 Hello and thank you for your support in the council elections. Just a quick update in that apparently 72 percent of voters have returned their ballot papers as of yesterday evening. So for those that haven't posted their votes may I suggest you get them in the post before 6pm Friday to avoid a fine! Thanks again and all the best in these difficult times.
01.01.2022 Hello and thank you for your support. I just would like to clarify an answer given in one of the many surveys given to me throughout this campaign. In which I stated that my family and I are heavily involved with and support RDA. RDA to my family and I stands for Riding for the Disabled Association. Not any other religious or political group.
