23.01.2022 Update on the increased first home buyers grant! - This is a federal grant meaning it is separate to (and on top of) the individual state grants. - All applicants must be an Australian citizen (permanent residents not acceptable)... - To be eligible all contracts must be entered into between 04/06/2020 - 31/12/2020 (Final contracts not preliminary agreements or PPA's etc) At this stage there are no updates from the lenders on how they plan on including the additional grant however I will continue to keep everyone posted with updates as more information is released. 20.01.2022 What we know so far: Applicants for Home Builder must also meet the following two income caps to qualify for the scheme. - Singles must be earning $125,000 or less based on their 2018/19 tax return or later.... - Couples must have a combined income of less than $200,000 based on their tax returns. - The cash splash will be offered for any contracts entered into between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020. - For new home builds, the value of the property must be $750,000 or less. At this stage the exact terms and conditions are yet to be announced we know at this stage the grant has increased but are yet to find out the exact details of who is eligible and how we go about applying for the funds.
