25.01.2022 Carine Cats Baseball Club is strongly committed to sport development at all levels. Based in the magnificent surrounds of the Carine Open Space wetlands and playing fields, the Club hosts whole community events. Recently with Mayor Mark Irwin, Councillor Karlo Perkov and Local MLA Tony Krsticevic, I attended Carine Cats Dreamtime Round/ Indigenous Day - the traditional dance and smoking ceremony was culturally significant and marked a pathway to a brighter future. Carine Cats- a great Club!

18.01.2022 PAWS - Public Access Ways - are walkways that enable shorter foot and bicycle travel distances. Nearly 300 of these pathways are across our suburbs and many are run-down and overgrown. I am working towards improving some of these, so that we can choose safe walking and bicycle routes.

17.01.2022 FUNDRAISER for BUSHFIRES Well done to resident Conrad on organising the event at the Carine Open Space BBQ facilities-attended by about 100 people. Councillor Karlo Perkov - City of Stirling and I dropped by to meet, greet and donate. Times are tough in the East and this small, local event was inspiring. Well done Conrad- you and others are examples of caring West Ozzies!

12.01.2022 Becoming a New Citizen of our Great Country is a Proud Moment. At a recent City of Stirling Citizenship Ceremony I met up with friend and new citizen, Curtis Berry. Best wishes to Curtis on his future ahead.

10.01.2022 Flashpoint-Rates, Roads, Rubbish! What’s your point of view? Are our Rates being spent efficiently? Illl be watching Flashpoint tonight on Channel 7 at 9pm. ... I strongly support less bureaucracy. Being a Former State Member of Parliament, l have a very good understanding of Depart ment roles and responsibilities. Serving community needs and concerns is very important. If elected I look forward to being your voice, especially on less rates and efficient spending. Please return your Vote tomorrow. All Postal Votes are counted this Saturday evening. Best Regards, Chris

09.01.2022 SCHOOLS ARE GREAT We are lucky to have such great schools in our suburbs. My wife and I teach in local schools and I am a Community Board Member of Balcatta Senior High School. Recently Balcatta S H School celebrated the 40th Anniversay of its highly regarded Gifted and Talented Arts Programme. Congratulations to Year 12 Art Student, Torren Whisson, on receiving the Shaun Tan Emerging Artist Award.

08.01.2022 Charity clothing bins still a mess! A number of Hamersley residents remain disappointed at the ugly sites. Apparently here next to the Leisure Centre, certain individuals are pulling out the clothing and dumping. Options of re-location to Commercial sites, more security patrols/ cameras, greater responsibility from Charity Organisations etc are there and if elected I will immediately move to fix the problem.... Maybe bins that don’t allow clothing to be pulled out is a part solution. I want Council to take more action.

08.01.2022 A Warm Welcome to the New Year! May I wish everyone all the best for the year ahead. Since being elected as Hamersley Ward Councillor I have been involved in numerous workshops and meetings which have provided valuable information about Council procedures and operations. I have taken up positions on 3 Committees as a Member of Planning, Environmental Advice and Audit. I am very focussed on ensuring that our growing suburbs have appropriate densities, that our greenscapes and ...wetlands are kept healthy and that our rates are spent appropriately. Thanks to all who have contacted me to say hello and to those who have asked me to assist with some local issues, such as dangerous intersections, maintenance of parks and wetlands, old Club and Sport facilities and PAWS ( Public Access Walkways). Leading into Christmas was quite busy, but now it is all about the year ahead and I look forward to helping everyone to feel happy and secure living in their local suburbs. See more

06.01.2022 Small Local Parks and Playgrounds must be clean, safe and enjoyable places to be. I am supporting upgrades and improvements so that our urban infill does not consume our valuable open recreational and green spaces. Great to support the Lyndale Street Reserve in Gwelup, alongside Councillor Karlo Perkov - City of Stirling.

02.01.2022 The Luck of the Irish! It was a pleasure to welcome new Citizen Michael at this week’s Citizenship Ceremony. I have known Irish Michael for some time and like other Irish folk I know, he is hard working, caring and fun-loving. What more can we want from our new citizens! Best wishes Michael.

02.01.2022 Sunday mornings at Stirling Farmers Market, in the Stirling Council car park, is a great way to start the day. The weather was perfect yesterday for a stroll around with family and granddaughter.

01.01.2022 Clean and Affordable Energy solutions across our suburbs are what residents are wanting.New technologies are able to create greater sustainability with household consumption and transport costs. If elected, I look forward to developing sustainability in the City of Stirling. However I will always apply scrutiny to expensive and unproven trial programs that that erode Ratepayers money. Good to see an innovative local company at Gwelup Shopping Centre Energy-Tec -focussed on Sustainability and alternative energy options. Energy-Tec /Primewest has installed an Electric Vehicle Charge Station in Gwelup Carpark!
