25.01.2022 It’s been a busy week in council. Last night we had a presentation from UniSA. Really interesting info. Some great opportunities for locals to get a degree without leaving home via online studies.



25.01.2022 Went for a walk around the lake this morning. Huge abundance of water birds. Swans, spoonbills, grebes, ducks, ibis, egrets and many more.

25.01.2022 I went out to the opening of the Coleraine Art Show last night. The quality of work was outstanding. If you are wondering what to do on this cold winter weekend it is well worth a visit.

24.01.2022 Great community turnout this morning for National Tree Planting Day. Hopefully planting over 1000 trees.



23.01.2022 Spreading the Covid business as unusual message. Really important to shop locally through these difficult times.

23.01.2022 Wonderful day for a Christmas in winter lunch at HIRL. The students from SGAE did a terrific job. It’s a great story about growing the food in the garden through to serving it on a plate.

22.01.2022 A quick visit to the Hamilton Livestock Exchange this morning to check out how the roof is going. Everything looks fantastic. Shouldn’t be too long now.

19.01.2022 Had a great day with the scouts out at the Wannon. A very impressive group of kids and fantastic leadership by a dedicated group to help them out.

18.01.2022 Great to say a few words at the Coleraine Men’s Shed 10th anniversary. This diverse group is doing fantastic things for their community.

I look forward to working with my fellow councillors, staff and the community to bring to fruition some of the great projects we have been working on. 13.01.2022 A very special day for 10 new Australians. I feel very proud to present the certificates on behalf us all.

13.01.2022 A great day out in Coleraine planting trees. It’s been a while coming but it should be a scenic improvement for the entry in to town. A terrific job done by the kids from Coleraine Primary School in helping with the planting.

11.01.2022 Almost 2 weeks into our stage 3 lockdown and it has been quite a challenge. As we all adjust to the new restrictions there has never been a more important time to ask RUOK? Our lifestyle has been turned upside down and it can play all sorts of games with our wellbeing so take some time to call your family, call your friend or check on your neighbours. Especially the elderly to ask Are you okay? Keep up the great work. Together we will get through this.

Hamilton It’s FREE!

03.01.2022 This Sunday July 28th is National Tree day. Council is partnering with CMA, Wannon Water and Toyota to do a massive tree planting along the Grange Burn. Starting at 10am every one is invited to come and help plant 1000 trees. Bring your boots and gloves, maybe a spade and get involved. A bbq will be provided afterwards.
