25.01.2022 Finding inspiration in my own backyard. It takes my mind off things and makes me appreciate nature. You can do this too using your iphone. It's relaxing and easy. Find your favourite flowers, trees or anything that takes your fancy. Photograph either early morning or late afternoon when the sun is less harsh. Take photos from different angles and see what you come up with. It's relaxing. Be as creative as you wish. Give it a go and show me what you come up with.

25.01.2022 I love how street art can transform places for the better. This work is by Kirstin Walsh - a local artist. It was commissioned by Bakers Delight and organised through Bells Fine Art. Do you love street art?

24.01.2022 Today is a good day to raise a glass. 28 days without a coronavirus infection. Let's keep it this way. Summer is here and it's time to enjoy the sunshine, beach weather and wine bars and restaurants. I'm knocking off work for the day and heading to refresh my tastebuds. Image: Pictured is a beautiful blonde hair woman wearing a colourful vintage dress with colours of green, red, yellow and black. She has a red scarf tied around her head. She is looking away in the distance smiling holding a large glass of red wine.

22.01.2022 Over the weekend I went to Melbourne to see my elderly father who has just been discharged from hospital. As his primary carer now there's a lot to organise for his home care. It's a strange experience being on the road with no cars anywhere. Praise be to all the Melburnians doing the right thing. Can't wait for the cases numbers to get to a level where we can resume some sort of normality. We'll get there!

22.01.2022 Oh my goodness. It's June and I think the last time I posted a pic of myself was at the end of last year. In that time I have had a number of new followers so I thought I would re-introduce myself again and say hello to all you wonderful souls. I took this self portrait today as being behind the lens most of the time you forget to take photos of yourself. After being in ISO the last few months, I finally feel like stepping out in front of the camera and be...ing seen. Running a small business myself, I think it's important to let your customers know who is behind the business. I want my customers to know the type of photographer I am, my capabilities, my values, my likes, my challenges, a bit more about my life in general. That way, I know that when they book in with me, they're familiar with me and my style of photography. There are no surprises! So here’s a few things. photography is my life. I do this full-time, it’s not a hobby. I’m professionally trained and accredited. Yes I love natural light but I also shoot using studio lighting. creating beautiful and impactful images that tell a story is what I love most about photography. I have a knack of making people feel relaxed in front of my lens and capturing beautiful images of their authentic self. I love music, mid century everything, records, red wine, my dog Whiskey, and life in general. Having your portrait with me is guaranteed to be fun! Tell me, what scares you most about having your photo taken? See more

22.01.2022 A cold morning walking Whiskey. A brief moment when the light broke through the dark clouds.

21.01.2022 And that's a wrap! My last photoshoot for 2020. I've been flat out over the last few weeks. While the photos are taken there's still the post production. I'll be editing away til next week and then taking a break until the New Year.

20.01.2022 Not so corporate staff photos are my thing. Of course I do a corporate ones too but I love the more relaxed approach of creating images in an environmental setting. I have more of a photojournalism approach to my photography. If you have a business with staff it's always great to showcase them. After all, they're the backbone of your business. And this is what Katie Stokes - an occupational therapist did as part of her business branding shoot. This is Lauren - one of her staff and an an occupational therapist who made my job a breeze.

19.01.2022 Congratulations Lim @suitswell on your new venture into real estate. You'll be the sharpest dressed person in real estate. Pic by me.

18.01.2022 I have a few big weeks ahead of me while I shoot this year's cultural portraits for Pako Festa. This image was taken last year when we first embarked on creating a suite of images to represent our diverse community in Geelong. It was one of the outtakes. There are so many outtakes from various cultures that I absolutely love. Can't wait to share our new portraits in the new year.

17.01.2022 This is not how I expected to spend my birthday this year but hey, one has to try to at least put on a smile and be grateful for the things that we have. I was spoilt by my partner and my dear sis @aliki_franchi friends and neighbours have called me or left messages. It’s the day before another lockdown in regional Victoria so I’m lucky I was still able to go out. What a roller coaster of emotions I feel today. Can’t wait to see my friends in person, hug them and celebrate i...n style (hopefully in a few months time). Stay safe everyone. We can do it. . . . . #chrissiefrancis #chrissiefrancisphotography #covidbirthday2020 See more

17.01.2022 Pretty stoked to have received this today from Capture magazine for my Pako Festa portraits series. From hundreds of entries and judged by a panel of top photographers, it’s nice to be recognised for your work. I’m planning on making it into the top 10 next year. Gotta keep on striving.

11.01.2022 My happy place - escaping to the coast, breathing in fresh air and trying to forget for a few hours all the Corona news. The first day of August and we were blessed with glorious sunshine and blue skies in winter. Grateful for the natural beauty we have in Australia.

11.01.2022 After a busy day working this how I love to end my day..

11.01.2022 Hump Day. My start to the morning is walking my dog along the river then popping by my local cafe and grabbing my daily coffee. Always a great way to start the day!

08.01.2022 Winter sunshine and wattle trees.

07.01.2022 With so much change happening over the last few months I have taken time out to re-evaluate my business and my services. It's always a good thing to do especially in our current climate. So that means, revisiting my own marketing plan and making changes to sustain my business for the future. Some exciting changes coming very soon. Branding image of Nicola from @arcanegency

05.01.2022 I'm wrapping up for the year. You all know what kind of year we have had so let's just say I'll be glad to see 2020 go. Thank you to all my wonderful customers who booked a shoot with me this year. I'm grateful for your support. I'll be back on board from 11th January. Lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes. I'll be sharing more mid next year! See you on the other side. Have a wonderful and safe xmas and a great New Year!

03.01.2022 Today I pay my respects to John Rosenberg, founder of Moorabool Antiques who has sadly passed away. I had the pleasure of meeting John a few times to photograph him and his wonderful antiques store as part of an ongoing documentary series I'm collating. He was so generous with him time and he told me so many great stories about his antique finds and how he started collecting antiques as a young child much to his mother's dismay. He took me all around his wonderful store including areas which are off limits. I was amazed at his knowledge of ceramics and his passion for antiques. He was witty, passionate and had a good sense of humour. A true gentleman. Thank you John for the brief time I got to know you. You left an impression on me. RIP. My deepest condolences to his family @mooraboolantiques

03.01.2022 The beauty of the coast. Always grateful to have an escape from the everyday.

03.01.2022 One thing about this lockdown is that it has made me slow down and take a closer look at everything around me especially since I have been primarily caring for my elderly father whilst he’s been in hospital. Navigating the aged care system is a full time gig and now that’s he’s back home, there’s on going care. Finding solace in nature is my escape.

02.01.2022 I love foggy mornings especially when the light hits certain parts of the river landscape. It's hard to get motivated to go outside when it's so cold but once you're out and moving, it's a great way to start the day. Plus my dog Whiskey loves it.
