25.01.2022 Let's look global, Putin has changed rules in Russia to maintain power. Xi Jinping has done the same in China. Trump...has created a campaign to discredit the media, hasn't even divulged his taxes...Our PM. There is a known hidden history that no one even questions. What are the world leaders doing? Regardless of where you sit on the political spectrum, it would be interesting to know what you think of the facts in this piece. Note Jordie is a Labor person through and through before you comment.

25.01.2022 Our state and territory governments cant work together so we are giving medical specialists a 50% increase in salary? $68K boost because states threaten to poach workers? Annastacia Palaszczuk MP...maybe it is time to get rid of the states and save a hell of a lot of money. Id prefer 50% more specialists in the system. #auspol #timetoact #political Scott Morrison (ScoMo)

24.01.2022 Australia has always been a smart country with inventions like the sheep shears, the lawn mower, wi-fi, bitcoin and a massive list of cool things that have changed the world yet we need other countries to make components, electronics and textiles...imagine if we used our smarts to make our own.... #australianbusiness #aussiepride #timetoact

24.01.2022 Labeled as a "Full frontal attack on the democratic process," the new electoral funding shows a serious bias towards political parties and a further bias towards the Australian Labor Party. Annastacia Palaszczuk MP's government has rolled through legislation that firstly handicaps individuals contesting a seat limiting electoral expenditure to $87,000 per seat while in the same seat the ALP can spend almost twice as much on marketing its candidate at $150k. What's even more underhanded is if an independent happens to reach the threshold 6% of the vote they will get $1.57 back per vote. If an ALP candidate gets over 6%, which is a safe bet, they will get back $3.14 per vote. Electoral Commission of Queensland how can this even be a fair and just system?

23.01.2022 This week was one all too familiar...corruption accusations about our top leaders, dirty politics and our PM saying people on $180k a year aren't rich. He is right compared to his salary of course. Remember it's not an average salary that we need to reference it is the mathematical median wage that is the true indicator. This is a story from 2018 so the salary of our leaders and public service would have gone up by 2.5% per anum without any productivity gain but it gives a better understanding of what most people live on. https://www.news.com.au//news-story/cd7e6647199773c56ad5a9 Pauline Hanson's Please Explain Australian Labor Party LNP - Liberal National Party

23.01.2022 Is it time to remove state and territory governments? Straight to local administrators? Imagine the implications with one set of laws in a state, in the country. No unnecessary duplication of resources with 8 departments doing essentially the same thing? Just the savings for businesses operating across borders, laws, OHS...would be staggering.

23.01.2022 If only more media and politicians took a reconciliatory approach rather than a divisive approach. Many have become Murdoch press mouthpieces. Interesting to see the polar difference between the Murdoch press and other media outlets. Let's face it most people now view media in the same light as politicians. Not to be trusted. A shame, so many good hardworking politicians surrounded by scandals.

22.01.2022 Our most senior politicians just cant cut a break. Accusations of corruption, ethics, deceit and these are our leaders in the highest echelons of power. #auspol #timetoact #politics

21.01.2022 How do we convince our children that other peoples opinions are just that, opinions? All too often humans exploit vulnerabilities of others. Politics from families to friends, to groups, associations, clubs, political parties all rely on a pecking order. For some it is about control, for others it is about functionality of an organisation. It all equates to power and influence. The very same principle behind bullying. If we want to stop bullying culture we need re-evaluate our system from the top. Use debate, not personal attacks under parliamentary privilege. For every politician think about how you can stop being a bully and start being an example for our kids...

21.01.2022 If only our Queensland Government was this smart. Maybe local councils will put the big pants on and do something like this for Queenslanders to help our tourism and hospitality industry!

20.01.2022 Want to understand...listen.

19.01.2022 Is it really a public service? I believed it would be a privilege and an honour to serve my community. Reality it seems like the entitlements and pay at the senior level is grossly out of step with the average wage. It's even out of whack to the wages of the equivalent position in the private sector. With the different levels of government this is multiplied over and over. This is our taxes. https://www.macrobusiness.com.au//pay-freeze-for-mps-and-/

19.01.2022 This is the same government that changed all the rules as they went in the local elections, created new electoral rules that benefit their own party and cripples the fighting power of independents and all that is in the public eye. Makes you wonder what happens behind closed doors.

19.01.2022 Positive spin...what's your opinion on Postgate?

18.01.2022 What we read, who we listen to, our influencers and politicians shape our psyche as a nation. Often our influencers are owned by powerful media organisations and vested interests or even whore their views and provide comment based on payment. The theory is if you tell someone a lie enough or represent the facts in a biased way without the other side of the story the lie becomes the truth. When I studied journalism there was a term "Creating Social Demons". These social demo...ns are those that are perceived as a threat to our way of life. Dole bludges, immigrants, migrants Aboriginals, Muslims, asylum seekers, people perceived to be getting more from social welfare than we earn for an honest day's work. It's not a new phenomenon. Ever wondered why we have a term "Political Correctness"? It's because things were and are that wrong. Those that oppose it or say it's gone too far are holding on to the guilt of how we have treated our fellow Australians or simply believe it's their right and freedom to maintain bigotry and be sexist, racist or put yourself above anyone else that has a different view. Being called out as a people is embarrassing...but not wanting to be better as a nation is a tragedy. See more

18.01.2022 In Queensland, Australia Premier says, "complacency is our enemy," in America President says Tik Tok is our enemy.

16.01.2022 2020-21 COVID Works For Queensland Council approved allocations $4,440,000.00 for Ipswich, $13,540,000.00 for Townsville City Council, $6,440,000.00 for Rockhampton, $8,100,000.00 for Gold Coast, $7,420,000.00 for Cairns... the full list here http://www.dlgrma.qld.gov.au//2020-21-covid-works-for-quee Do you think the allocations are based around what seats the government need to win, if the council is the same political party as the residing mayor or the needs of the community?

14.01.2022 This is a good take on corporate bailouts and it seems that with the Jobkeeper and Jobseeker our Federal Government have done the right thing for the people.

13.01.2022 Jobs for Australians should come before importing labour. In a similar fashion jobs for people in Ipswich at the Ipswich Council should come first before hiring from other areas. Teresa Harding Councillor Nicole Jonic - Ipswich Division 2

13.01.2022 Get real local...help your community. Ipswich council jobs for Ipswich residents. If our rates are paying our people should be given first priority and training to do the job. Ipswich first.

13.01.2022 Is it time to make it legal in Australia?

12.01.2022 Loving the hypocrisy - The Andrews Government gets reamed for dealing with China under the same Belt and Road program sanctioned by the Federal Government...What are you thoughts?

12.01.2022 Murdoch media bias isn't new. The reality is it went right down to the local government level. It was so easy to see it in our local election in Ipswich.

12.01.2022 If $3 Billion is the savings on just "freezing" the pay rises in one Australian state...we may have to do some forensic accounting to work out if our public service has been grossly over paid. It is obvious the workers at the bottom with their percentage rise don't fair as well as the guys at the top. We need to re-evaluate the pay rises and do it in monetary increases rather than a percentage, which is grossly unjust to workers on small incomes, #auspol #timetoact #justice #donottreatcitizensasfools

11.01.2022 Does every dollar given lead to a compromise?

10.01.2022 Someone help me out if you have more information. Did these girls voluntarily go for a COVID-19 test or were they dobbed in by someone or another jurisdiction? Just curious to find out the missing piece of the puzzle.

10.01.2022 This Queensland State general election remember who the laws favour. For the 2020 State general election, the election funding rate is $1.651 for (independent) candidates and $3.304 for registered political parties per eligible vote. If they get over 6%.

07.01.2022 This is a pretty strong statement.

07.01.2022 If Australia produces enough food for 75 million people and we have 25 million, and we export the bulk of our produce, why do we have so many products from other countries sold in our shops? #auspol #australianbusiness #aussiepride ? #FridayQuestion

06.01.2022 Disproportionate salary increases in the public service. These are the latest figures....published in 2018 see how much more the executive level rose by percentage? Yet they are outsourcing frontline services and not counting those workers as public servants but with all the responsibilities and the same workload but less in wages and super. Do we want private companies running our public service? The bigger question is can we afford the workplace agreements in place for existing APS staff? We had prosperous times with continual growth of our economy in the past but those days are gone for now. The productivity gains vs the salary increases are grossly disproportionate now. #begreat #economy #productivity

06.01.2022 Is Scott Morrison the greatest socially minded labour leader since Labors Bob Hawke? He has spent more on social welfare, he is doing more for Industrial Relations. 04.01.2022 Should jobs at a local council be offered to locals? Should it also be a requirement to move into a local area if you work for the local council so that your wage goes back into developing the community that you work for?

02.01.2022 Our thoughts are with the miners that have been put in harms way, and to their families. There a calls for the Minister in charge of mines to resign in QLD. By these calls, for every truck accident and fatality on the road should we also ask for the resignation of the Transport/Roads Ministers? Or in workplaces, Ministers in charge of Workplace Health & Safety? Are these calls just for media hype or will he opposition practice what they preach and fall on their sword in a similar scenario? https://lnkd.in/guzjD8Y #safety #callforresignations #healthandsafety #mediahype #publicitystunts
