07.01.2022 I have just hosted a famil to Japan, with an amazing group of women. Japan Airlines treated us the best premium economy service I have experienced in 30 years o...f travel. The beautiful, near new dreamliner, was quiet and comfortable, the service was in my opinion, second to none. The four-day tour was packed with MW tours sightseeing tours and land arrangements with the Prince Hotel Group. With 3 nights in Tokyo visiting the Tokyo Skytree Tower, Imperial Palace East Garden, Meiji Shrine and the fish market. Tokyo's public transport was an eye opener at just how well it can be done, and a cultural pleasure to see and experience the quiet and polite was of culture in this country. Although Mt Fuji didn't want to play with us, we still enjoyed a night in Hakone, a boat ride on Lake Asdhi and most of us braved our inner womanhood to try the famous open-air Onsen and soaked in the mineral springs before experiencing a bullet train back to Tokyo. A highlight for the group was a visit to JALs control centre and maintenance hangers where Yukari Yoko of JAL said it was a privilege on this occasion for the group to see how the operations at JAL's control centre worked. We were given front row seats and an amazing powerpoint display of how emergencies, delays and weather are all looked at in this centre, a true glimpse into the other side of travel we don’t often get to see. The JAL museum is worth a visit to, we dress up as cabin crew and had some fun looking at the history of Japan Airlines. A final night in Tokyo had to be the most mind-blowing of all to our sensors! The famous Robot Restaurant and show was all we think of Japanese new age culture thrown into a phenomenal 2 hour show, we emerged keen enough to have a go at Karaoke, and some locals sent us in the right direction of a private Karaoke room where we belted out, possibly not too well, the sounds of Abba, Cindy Lauper and Bon Jovi. Tokyo was a surprise, a place I would love to go back to and explore further. If you’re a chocolate lover you will be in heaven, if you have small feet it’s a shoe lovers delight, and if you enjoy fresh, clean food then this is the place you should all be heading. A huge that you to Yukari Kato from JAL, Deb Reilly, and the team at MW Tours and the amazing and wonderful Travel Partner ladies. A famil to remember for all the right reasons! #Travelpartners#JAL#MWTours#Japanfamil2018#lovemyjob#Prince Hotels&Resortrs#Japan #robot See more
